I delve into the 9th chapter of the Koran. Explaining why Mohammed did not understand what repentance means and why it poses such difficulties for Muslims today. I also describe why peace treaties between Muslim and non-Muslim nations are so perilous.
Is there a transcript?
People making videos of themselves talking are creepy.
I think the sura comes from the first given half (based on the Bible and the Torah) and that given half was declared null and void by Mohammad - it was superseded by the second given half (kill, kill, kill) which the last words of Allah to man.
So attempting to explain a voided verse is pointless.
I will add this: talking over a text scrawl of what you are referencing isn’t hard to pull off. Adding some background graphics that look nice but don’t distract isn’t hard.
And while post editing your voice over may take a bit of extra effort ... it isn’t hard either.
It isn’t that a video of a guy talking is always creepy, some can really pull it off, but that we are drawn back to something that was learned in the Nixon/Kennedy debates ... those who listened on the radio tended to think Nixon won (and that would be on the actual ideas communicated, comparable to the text scrawl voice over I just spoke of) while those who watched it on TV thought Kennedy won because he just looked better.
Even if you look like a Kennedy, if you want to convey ideas and not show yourself (as for example Stephen Coughlin does) standing in front of people giving a lecture the voice over is definitely the route to go because it focuses on the ideas ... and higher perceivable production values don’t hurt either.
And that’s true even if you are blessed with The Voice, and can give Johnny Cash or James Earl Jones a run for their money in which case your videos will be amazing just for hearing with only minimal post editing effort ... you lucky fantastic voice bastard you.
It isn’t entirely useless if it can show Mohammad had a poor grasp of things, not just by his end after kicking off Islam’s centuries long killing spree but throughout his career, from the beginning.
That's why the experiential is much more important to Muslims than what's written. It explains why they can allow a book like the Koran to be considered sacred (there are parts of the Koran that tell Muslims to slaughter Jews and Christians, and other parts that say Jews and Christians should be honored as "people of the book").
This can explain why some Muslims are wild-eyed fanatics, while others can be kind and generous. Basically, Islam is what the strongest voice for Islam says it is.
Thus the wisdom of Stephen Coughlin’s proposition to avoid any and all debates about what is the real Islam and focus instead on the books sold in mosques and related bookstores in our our country to help Muslims know how to be proverbial good Muslims, which carry, at least among the Sunni, what passes for the very highest *bling* of scholarly blessing.
You see, Muslims (or anyone for that matter) who focus on feelings have a similar problem that the Sophists of Ancient Greece had, they have a hard time replicating themselves unless they, like the core of the modern American Left, reach a point of being so terribly afraid of being signaled out for not being politically correct enough (or its equivalent) that they conform to whatever the culture seems to be doing at the moment, becoming hyperconformists at times, and use something like virtue signaling ... apparently in hopes of announcing their conformity so they’ll be left alone.
(IOW if what makes people Nazis is bring called Nazis by someone on the Left then anyone is a potential Nazi ... recall, these are the same people who championed a guy can be a woman and who even now want to press gender identity on small children because facts just do not matter anymore.)
Now since most human beings outside of those heavily influenced by cultural Marxism don’t seem to like living in abject terror of being signaled out for not being progressive enough (receiving the treatment given TERFs for example) I just don’t see that as being common. Which leaves feel-y folks less able to replicate themselves than the Islamic versions of the old grammarians with their authoritative scholarly approved texts who can learn by rote. And, well, these steer folks in the direction of Jihad ... the likes of AQ didn’t get where they were by having shoddy Islamic theology, nor was the Fort Hood shooter a nutcase (though he had to be portrayed that way to whitewash the report etc of mentioning Islam).
To take just one example, Allah, i.e. Mohammed, extols the "Book of Musa," i.e. the first five books of Moses (Pentateuch), and commands that Muslims are to not eat swine.
At the same time, Allah and Mohammed praise eating camel, even though that's expressly prohibited in Leviticus 11, the chapter that describes what foods are permitted and what foods are prohibited for the nation of Israel.
Allah, i.e. Mohammed
Like most Western kids, they were raised to believe that wealth and fun could bring happiness to your life. However, there's always a God-shaped hole (for lack of a better phrase) in their lives.
In the past, many kids turned to Christ to fill that hole. Likewise, many young Muslims turn to their religion to fill that emptiness....trying to follow the five pillars of Islam (Declaration of Faith. Obligatory prayers. Obligatory fasting. Obligatory giving. Pilgrimage to Mecca). Then, when that proves to be empty, they wonder to themselves, "What must I do to fill this emptiness in my heart?"
Enter the Wahabist imams- they claim to show these young men and women the way to reach paradise....and it generally involves killing non-believers.
THIS is what we're fighting. Until we as a people realize this is spiritual warfare even more than physical, we'll never win it. For one, I would ditch the Muslim imams at Gitmo, and replace them with Arabic Christian pastors. Let them keep their Korans, but make it easier to read an Arabic bible.
Are you familiar with Monty Python’s fish dance skit?
This is how I think it applies to history.
Imagine the fellow with the big fish knocking people doing him no harm off of the pier one after another. First is Arabia, parts of the ME, Egypt, North Africa etc until finally after some people resist.
Then you’ve two guys with big fish facing off until the Christian has a secularist, safe by the protection he’s given, talking about how great the Muslim (and how bad it was to mistreat him by resisting) is before stabbing the Christian in the back and inviting the Muslim to emigrate.
Yes, it’s spiritual warfare just between Christ and what I would argue I’d the likely religion of Anti-Christ ... with an unhealthy cesspool full of secular and post Christian heathanism in the West thrown in for bad measure.
And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. Rev 6:8 KJV
I’ve heard moslem apologists try to sugar coat Islam, saying it’s merely a continuation of Judaism and Christianity. But others, not just Fairykkkhan have called the Crucifixion and Resurrection “illusions”. More confusion and deception, Islamic style.
Yes, Muslims-almost all Muslims, with the exception of the Ahamdis-categorically reject Jesus’s crucifixion. That, and their anti-Trinitarianism-as well as their belief in the prophethood of Mohammed-are the defining features of this belief system.
Islam, beginning as a rejection of Christ and the only Gospel, is simply and overtly of the spirit of antichrist.
It's particularly problematic when you consider the fact that the "Apostle of Allah" is frequently given the same reverence as Allah.
Interesting. Thanks.
If everything that happens is the will of Allah, why would you need to repent for anything?
Mohammad began his killing spree AFTER receiving the second given half - before that he had 150 followers and was just a poor attempt to combine the Bible and the Torah,
The only way Mohammad “received” anything was from demons.
He simply started killing when he could get away with it.
