Make it perfectly legal to hunt them and advertise how good they are on the grill. Broadcast several good recipes in Spanish and English. Publish YouTube videos on how to skin and eat them. Let the low income folks know how easy they are to catch, cook, and eat to save big money on their EBT cards so they can buy more Boone’s Farm, Whipple, or Mad Dog. Yes; I remember those extinct wines. Put the word out they build big muscles and are great for prolonged erections and orgasms.

They will be gone by this time next year.

I wouldn’t think the Cubans would need to be told.

And Boone’s Farm isn’t extinct, I don’t think. Not sure about Night Train.

Wow, Mad Dog even has new flavors. Banana Red, Blue Raspberry. Must be aiming for the homeless children.

It already is legal to hunt them.

They will be gone by this time next year.

Nope! Won't happen. We need to wait for the next big freeze to wipe out over 99% of the iguanas as happened in 2010 and then soon put a $100 bounty on the remainder.

The New Wave band "Wall of Voodoo" did their part with the hit video "Mexican Radio":
