Frankly I can pick out about 40 cities and 8 states who don’t deserve a vote.

It’s unconstitutional, but then again, so was the Kenyanesian Usurpation.

Cede them back to Maryland and Virginia. No new liberal senators. Give them a Congress critter.

I still think it would be best for the government to buy up all the land in DC. Leases to those businesses allowed to operate there. Bulldoze most of them, and do a complete modernization of infrastructure and roads.
It would offer much more office space, park space, have much better traffic control, have special roads for deliveries, and to move a lot of people quickly, have covered automatic sidewalks, like they do in airport concourses.

She’s a non voting delegate in the House, she’s not a regular voting member of the House.

Actually, the original DC portion of Virginia needs to be given back to DC to punish Virginia for backing the wrong side in the Civil War. And not just the City of Alexandria, but also surrounding Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun and Prince William Counties.
Make them ALL be part of DC. Then Virginia might actually be competitive again.

How about we don’t need a state that’s only 67 square miles!
There. Easy.

Non-voting, except of matters pertaining to DC itself. She gets a vote in the committee..........

The Capitol was never in New York, although a capitol of a sort was and the city WAS the nation’s capital.
There’s a difference between capital with an “a” and capitol with an “o”.

DC needs to be shrunk. All federal facilities and land should be “district” controlled but the asinine DC government and their a-hole representatives need to go. Split the civilian areas and parcel them out to the adjacent states.

They have already ceded the portion south of the Potomac back to Virginia.

DC was never intended to be a place of permanent residence. People could reside there temporarily while serving the Federal government and retaining their citizenship in their state of origin.

In that case, Maryland can absorb them.
Look at a map; it is still a tiny area geographically, populated almost entirely by people who suckle off the federal teat. They belong in DC.
DC either needs to grow to accommodate them or Fedzilla needs to shrink to the point where there aren't so many hangers on. We both know the likelihood of that ever happening.
