It appears that CNN can't take a holiday from its constant bashing of President Trump, as a panel on Thursday ripped the "Salute to America" speech he had just given to a huge Fourth of July crowd. Following remarks that celebrated America's history and honored the U.S. military, the liberal news network launched a firing squad beginning with former President Obama official and CNN analyst John Kirby saying he was "troubled about the militaristic tone" of the event.
"We were treated to essentially eighth-grade history that was fairly sepia-toned and saccharine in its depth and context. In fact, it was lacking a lot of depth and context and I heard nothing other than a pledge to put the American flag on Mars," Kirby told the panel. "I could have gotten this off of watching 'Schoolhouse Rock' and I frankly didn't need all the militaristic, you know, displays of might. I think it's just, again, not who we are as a country."

eIGHTH GRADE HISTORY ???????
Most students today or in the last 30 years could not pass a 6th grade history lesson test!!!!!
Oh....for a minute I thought that was a” CORPSE MAN “
CNN is Shadow Banned from Free Republic.
Better things exist to discuss than strawman nonsense.
IF it sounded like “Schoolhouse Rock” material, perhaps that’s because the USA has been DUMBED DOWN for so long they can’t understand anything more complex than CONJUNCTION JUNCTION. AND who is to blame for this mess? Among so many, journalists and news organizations are at the top of the heap of shame. Don’t believe that ? Reread some of the articles written by so-called educated journalists. Poor English, misspellings, titles that make no we,we.
, whole paragraphs that leave the reader scratching their heads and asking WTH??!
A HOT MESS of ineptitude, sophomoric reporting and general ignorance. It HEY! THEY ALL LOOK GOOD, THAT’S ALL THAT MATTERS
It's remarkable how one remembers, many decades later, what one learned as a child. :-)
And we also used to sing ALL the verses of THE BATTLE HYMN OF THE REPUBLIC, which I was overjoyed to hear sung yesterday. I'm sure than many libtard and lefty heads exploded upon hearing "as He died to make men holy, let us die to make men free"!
Hmm, aren’t Democrats, in effect, demanding a cold war with Russian by criticizing the President for not taking a harder line with Putin? If Democrats weren’t hypocritical, they would be nothing. Possibly the President should tell Putin that he’ll “have more flexibility after the election”.
It “was fairly sepia-toned” and it was “lacking a lot of depth and context”. All lunatic liberals (and Never Trumpers) have developed this literally fact-free way of talking about things, Trump in particular.
The left prefer the slow bleed process of Americans getting picked off one by one through hostile foreign invasions replete with unvetted and jihadis as mercenaries for their replacement cause
As of today I never heard of School Rock nor even watched it... I think it’s a television program.
But CNN obviously is an avid viewer, which I guess shouldn’t be too surprising
“Hmm, arent Democrats, in effect, demanding a cold war with Russian by criticizing the President for not taking a harder line with Putin? “
The democrats are just throwing everything at the wall and desperately trying to find something that sticks. I don’t believe they’ve succeeded and the Russia hoax has played itself out. If anything, if Barr is truly running in depth investigation into Russiahoaxgate, Russia may come back to haunt them.
There is no question Trump has been tougher on Russia than Obama was.
That’s probably an Austrian pronunciation.
Liars gotta lie. It was full of detail. He even had some of the people he praised in the audience. You dont get that in wikipedia or 8th grade.
In 2014 the National Assessment of Educational Progress found that for 8th graders only 21 percent of male students and 16 percent of female students scored 'proficient or higher in NAEPs U.S. history assessment. Another study found that only 50% of adults could name the three branches of government.
I remember when Jay Leno was on the air and in an on-the-street interview, a UCLA student (football player) didn't know who the first president of the US was. How can anyone not know that? When I was in school, each February we studied both Washington and Lincoln.
Uh...I LOVE Schoolhouse Rock.
“Three...is a magic number.” I still hum that today, and I really loved it when I was married and we had our little boy making three. And it was magic.
To quote an unnamed listener on WOAI Radio, “You don’t have to be a hateful idiot to work at CNN but it surely seems common there.”
Yours, TMN78247
I love schoolhouse rock
