I bet the old Weatherby catalogs from the early 70’s would give snowflakes instant vapor lock.
My dad had a Weatherby. It was a beautiful rifle.
My son moved his own company from Silicon Valley to Nevada for the same reason. His company is an eco friendly operation, but California really doesn’t care about this, it is just for show. What they really care about is to advance their anti-business culture. He took his guns with him when he moved.
Kentucky would be nearly as good for a company like Weatherby. Our only drawback is a state income tax; however, we also have lots of gun lovers and plenty of good places for hunting. And a few years ago (2013?), Kentucky led the nation in guns owned per capita. If they want to open a facility in the eastern US, I recommend it go here.
Good business decision by the Weatherby company. Get out while you can.
Other than Hawaii- it is most beatiful State with the best weather. Why should we let liberals take over and destroy it (Like every other place where democrats are in charge)?
Then again it's probably too far gone to be saved.
Sad.
Anyway, this company is in a much better place for business (Cali is completely hostile).
California is possibly the worst state in the Union now. Every thing they do any more is not compatible with the American way of life. What the hell is wrong with the people there?
the mass media in the once-great state of Californication is almost totally communistic/extreme leftist...
i don’t mean simply in their opinion columns
it infests almost their entire “news” media
Leaving CA now before it requires a rifle to get out.
Didn’t that happen some time ago?
Glad for them, but sorry to see them go. I’ve been to their place many times for many reasons.
I just cannot imagine ANY Weatherby employee not wanting to move to Wyoming!
Paso Robles is a nice town, but Kali-Fornia is a horrible state!
One HAS to wonder if 2020 will be a turning point for Kali-Fornia?
I have lived in Idaho since 2002. We are over-run by escapees from California. Funny thing is, the demoncrat party in Idaho is getting smaller and the Republican Party is getting larger. We don’t seem to be getting any more liberal. These are the kind of Californians you want moving to your state!
Maybe a lot of the 50 who stayed were sort of like my wife and I (both in our 80's) who continue to remain in a Soviet state (MD) ONLY because all the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren live here in southern MD...
Wyoming is the a best kept secret as a State. Lots of cheap land and good people.
The Cadillac of Cartridges.
