Seriously though, walking barefoot on the beach does make me sleep much better and deeper. With vivid dreams.
Or maybe it's the salt air. Maybe it has nothing to do with being barefoot. But it does feel good to be out on the beach with no shoes and spending the day sloshing around in the water and then reading books in a lawn chair. This is the way I would like to live more often.
What was Richard Nixon doing wearing dress shoes on the beach. He was doing it all wrong!

Underwear is worse than shoes and socks. So constricting and unnatural. Its especially problematic if you are dyslectic. Never switch them. Trust me. It is problematic.

Nixon was a passionate dog-lover. His most famous dog was Checkers, who was his companion from 1952-1964, but other dogs that he owned included King Timahoe, an Irish setter that he had while president, and Brownie, a frisky mutt that accompanied him in the final years of his life.
Small world. I’m about 100 yards from the border, southern tip of Brownsville. Beach is about 30 mins or so away, very beautiful and well kept
We had an outdoor party at our house this weekend. I spent the day wearing a kilt and going barefoot. It was very comfy, and the ladies seemed to like the look, too.
Sure is. Emilia’s off towards the port has the best fajitas Guadalajara’s in town. Everything is excellent, really, but their fajitas are off the charts
Years ago I lived in Santa Barbara, California.
There were some men and women who walked on the beach not only barefoot, but bare altogether from the top of their heads to the tips of their toes.
Most people just went barefoot.

I loved walking barefoot around my yard feeling all peaceful and tranquil...one with nature, communing with the lovely sound of birds chirping getting the lovely benefits of reflexology UNTIL ONE DAY I stepped on one of those piece of &#$! little round gumballs that drop constantly into my yard from my piece of crap gumball trees that I need $2500 to take down!!
Now screw nature, I hate tranquility! Took me a dang long time to get the little pieces out of my foot!
My best beach walk was with my sister. A Hurricane had come through for quite a time.
The sand was like glass. The conversation was priceless.
