I could change that to Republican and it would accurately describe our favorite herd of RINOs as well. Unfortunately "our" side has also been lying about what they are up to instead of being the "true" conservatives they advertise themselves to be.
People here from that area said elementary schools had a different time table than high school.

Harris’s favorite tactic has always been to claim to be on both sides of every issue. You cite a classic example of her use of that tactic.

Good stuff. I think the racism charge has lost its sting because (like many things) it is thoroughly overused to describe political and philosophical differences instead of real racism.
The accusation has been cheapened to the point that few pay any attention to it anymore. They have done the same thing with global warming and America has tuned it out.
On top of that, Harris (and most of the democrat stage) are not authentic. Harris grew up with a silver spoon and was far more privileged than most Americans. Her meteoric rise in California politics is not a story she can honestly tell (Willie Brown).
They are actors like Jussie Smollett using their screenplay to try and advance their careers. Normal people see this and observe a wealthy affluent media using the same narrative for the same reasons. We shrug even as the leftist media breathlessly cringe at labels that have been made meaningless.

Moving from link to link in other threads this morning, I saw a headline that her statement was true/factual but I left and went on to something else without reading it. I didn’t mean to, I just exited...Maybe I’ll run across it again or maybe someone else will see it.
I still haven’t figured out why she said, “I was that little girl” without saying whether or not she thought busing was a good or a bad thing. Left a lot of us saying “so?”
