The science is settled. Vaccines are good. They ought to be mandated by government. This is a question of personal freedom ... the right to be free of disease.

I look forward to seeing your scientific credentials related to vaccine efficacy and safety. Are they as impressive as those who claim that anthropogenic global warming is settled science?

The science is settled. Vaccines are good.

How can the science be settled on ANY newer vaccine? The original Hepatitis B vaccine that was mandated in newborns in many states had to be changed because it was causing bowel separation. The HPV vaccine has caused widespread, numerous severe reactions. The U.S. version of the polio vaccine had to be changed to dead cell because a few people got polio (the only recorded cases those years) from the weakened live-cell version. On the other hand, the rabies vaccine is good. To state that the "science is settled" or that the need for an HPV vaccine is the same as the need for an anti-polio vaccine requiring a mandate for both is untrue.

It’s not a right if you’re forced to drink the kool-aid at gunpoint.

This entire vax propaganda is for two purposes -
1. To cover up the sheer number of diseases that are being carried in by illegal immigrants and representing a clear and present threat to our communities.

2. To increase totalitarian government power.

The science is settled - most times vaccines are good but there is a small percentage (aka risk) that the vaccine can cause harm to the patient.

Where there is risk, there needs to be choice.

All medical procedures carry two risks. The risk to get the procedure and the risk of avoiding the procedure. Since the bureaucrat is NOT the one who has to bear the consequences of the risk (either way), then the bureaucrat should NOT be the one making the decision.

California has disallowed medical exemptions in all but a few cases, which I disagree with.

I’ve been vaccinated as a child, but will likely need some vaccines again because I’m immune suppressed, and some of the people around me don’t agree with vaccination (general public). If I catch the measles, it’s far more serious for me than if an otherwise healthy child catches it. God forbid Ebola winds up spreading.. Then I’m screwed.

Science is never settled.

“Vaccination is a practice that has many detractors who have presented, over the years, evidence that vaccines can and do cause great harm.”

The main detractor being Andrew Wakefield, the former British physician who published a fraudulent study in the Lancet that sparked anti-vax hysteria with claims that vaccination was responsible for autism.

The ‘study’ has been discredited, Wakefield’s license revoked, and his two co-authors have renounced the study as well.

But one should never underestimate the love of conspiracy nonsense so Wakefield’s fake claims live on.

Forget it. The crazy anti vaxxers are as delusional as the qult.

You have as much chance of changing these minds as convincing the qult that there are no unicorns.

Vaccines and inoculations have worked as far back as the Middle Ages. But these folks are too ignorant of history to understand. They hate anything that the govt mandates, whether it makes sense or not.

I think that there are many people who believe that some vaccines are beneficial. The real issue is individual liberty. Mandatory vaccine laws without exemptions are indicative of a latent totalitarian spirit. We might well consider the word of William Pitt the Younger: Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom. It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

I think for most it’s a question of HOW MANY vax at a time for a baby/small child...and whether ALL of them are necessary before puberty ie HPV?

Some vaccines do a lot of good. Some are totally unnecessary.

I’m not messing with tetanus or rabies, but there are other things, like the flu, that I’ll take my chances, thankyouverymuch.

It’s okay though to bring illegal immigrants with every kind of horrific diseases. Up is down in CA.

Sarcasm is no good if you have to tag it.

Nope...they sounded EXACTLY like what someone in SF would say. You fooled us.
