Jeff Daniels appeared on MSNBC recently to channel the Atticus Finch role he is playing in the Broadway play "To Kill A Mockingbird" in order to obsess like Captain Ahab over his White Whale which in reality is the Big Bad Orange Whale known as Donald Trump. From his apocalyptic vision of the future if Trump is either re-elected or not removed from office via the impeachment process, it is obvious that Dumber than Dumb Daniels might go the Heaven's Gate route to the Mother Ship.

Leftists/socialists don’t understand economics. Mr. Daniels just figures he’ll keep doing what he’s doing, his Hollywood friends will love him, and the money will keep flowing.
Friendship doesn’t go far in Hollywood. If Mr. Daniels becomes box office poison, he will be retired, whether he likes it or not.

He makes a living playing make believe and dress up.
It’s a perfect example of the way actors subsume the virtuous traits of the characters they pretend to be while setting aside their own shallow selves. The life of an actor is a never ending fraud, executed through pretension and self delusion. No need to even listed to this guy; his run will end and he’ll have to confront the reality that he is only who he is.
It’s not a bad series, notwithstanding the chicanery of a ‘conservative’ boss who flashes lefty like a ball player.
I watched it especially for the little red head who goes crazy towards the end. All in all, it’s a good show.
Wasn’t he an Actor??
The first thing I do when something important is happening is look to see what the Hollywood Weenie crowd, pretending their whole lives and living in Make Believe world, have to say about the issue.
Jeff Daniels, wasn’t he the actor who played the Yankee general Joshua Chamberlain in “Gettysburg?” Daniels played the kind of role, he a leftist, was a natural for.
Daniels had to fake the courage and the sense of duty & honor.
What a shame. Always liked him as an actor. His portrayal of George Washington in “The Crossing” is masterful.
De Niro is in some of my favorite movies, which I can probably no longer watch anymore. They’ve been tainted.
