iTunes gone?
It's my sole source of downloadable music.
Any suggestions? I'm really ignorant about this stuff.

I’m lucky, grew up with great radio like WABC AM, WPLJ, WLIR, WNEW.

Just wait and see what they really do. It sounds like they are just splitting it up into Music, TV and podcasts.
This actually sounds more logical to me than to have all three of these jumbled together. I bet there will be a way to migrate all of the stuff you own. Knowing Apple, it will probably do it automatically.

In terms of sound quality, iTunes is toward the bottom - much lower resolution & dynamics than a normal 16-bit CD.
Seriously doubt it - they have made serious $$$ from iTunes. I would not be surprised if they rebranded it - but getting rid of? Extremely doubtful.
It won’t just ‘go away’, they will either sell it or replace it with something better.................

I have a music library, songs I’ve ripped from my CDs (and some from LimeWire days). I hate iTunes. I have 2 iPods.
I want software (other than iTunes) to manage/play music on my computer that will also allow me to load my music on my iPods.
Does it exist?
I have yet to get over losing the home button on iPhone
So am I. What about all the songs (many) that I bought from them?
