My biggest complaint is about how frikken complicated it is to just put music on my phone. Cant simply drag and drop . No. Gotta build a library and then synch it. And, can only do it from one computer.
I guess they have thought of yet another electronic manacle which the public will require in order to be whole.
Terrific selection of music on youtube, pop, classical, whatever you want. I have an eighties music playlist
Agreed! And iTunes is a memory hog. Hate apple.
I heard that in 1980. And every year since then. Meanwhile, most of the other companies are long gone or a tiny fraction of the base they used to have. Apple will probably be around long after you're dead.
And you can still get batteries for every iPod model. I recently replaced the battery in my 2005 iPod, and it works just fine. Go buy some other maker's product, most likely a Chinese ripoff and worry when the commie government makes it go belly up.
iPhoto and Aperture are not gone; functionality of both were subsumed into the new app Photos.
I will. Thanks.
Don’t forget Sirius.
Photos app is a very poor replacement for both iPhotos and Aperture. Lots of advanced functionality disappeared.
And be sure to buy stock in the other maker's company. Funny how people don't, while they tout another product. I bought Apple stock when it was in the teens and twenties, and it has split multiple times. That paid for every product I've bought and then some.
Seems like an overkill ... like fixing something that isnt broken.

That’s just what they did with the human interface guidelines. After 10.6 the OS just became a disorganized senseless mess.
You need a teenager in your life. This is only a problem for the technically challenged.
All of it super Woke.. and thus no different than Netflix at all.. yawn.
Now and then you find some good stuff that isn’t woke.
But a lot of it is most definitely highly woke.
The very worst is when they impose 21st wokeness on past civilizations.
Case in point: Netflix’s “The Frontier” about the Hudson’s Bay Company in Canada at the end of the 18th century. It’s got it all - superhuman women, homos, extremely violent white men, noble and enlightened Indians, Indian tribes led by female chiefs, a female Indian warrior who is stronger, faster, more accurate, and wiser than any male, a hipster young ‘un from London who adapts to the wilds of backwoods Canada faster than you can say Jack Sprat, and a couple of brilliant black people who outfox whitey.
I will, thanks.

"CEO Tim Cook will unveil a spread of new features geared to move the companys focus away from the iPhone starting Monday at the tech giants Worldwide Developers Conference....
...Going forward, three new desktop apps will be unveiled Music, TV and Podcasts to house and manage the data. This will match the format already used on iPhones and iPads."
>If this means we get a better way to manage our music than iTunes on the mac (very intuitive, imho), I'm for it.
If this means we lose any ability to manage and listen to music we OWN from other than Apple Store, then Mr. Cook should go F himself.
Amazon MP3. Unprotected so you can make backups.
itunes is very UNintuitive, imho ...
/sigh...
In terms of sound quality, iTunes is toward the bottom - much lower resolution & dynamics than a normal 16-bit CD.
Seriously doubt it - they have made serious $$$ from iTunes. I would not be surprised if they rebranded it - but getting rid of? Extremely doubtful.
