Um, no, he was a conscientious Augustinian Catholic monk concerned about corruption in the Roman Catholic Church of which he was a spiritual servant. That the RCC kicked him out rather than deal with what he was saying about holiness is their loss. He was in his way the Donald Trump of his time, and the Establishment wanted him gone.
That bombastic assertion about a church whose distinctive Catholic teachings are not manifest in the only wholly inspired substantive authoritative record of what the NT church believed (including how they understood the OT and gospels) is as absurd as the OP's "ceiling’s ribbed formation making the body of the worm."
