This is truly a big deal - orders of magnitude beyond Watergate - but I hope nobody expects the MSM to cover it. There will be no scandal - there will no public outrage - the MSM will yawn and look away, and the general public will be oblivious.

Any media driven outrage will be directed at the whistleblowers, not the perpetrators.

Silver lining: The MSM can’t maintain this bizarro world illusion forever. The video montages shown on Hannity and Carlson, where 20 talking heads use the exact same phrase of the day? They are really very effective at exposing the absurdity of the Left. I agree. The media will do everything it can to cover up this massive scandal. However...the unmaskings are going to be hard for the MSM to completely ignore. I think its going to be a stunning revelation for most people. And the bad news for the Democrats and their allies in the media will be the steady drip, drip, drip of damaging information.

The details of FISA abuse may be hard for many people to understand, but the unmaskings of political opponents is a “raw” thing that smacks of devious intent and undermining our political process. I think most people will get that at a visceral level.

Well, I think and hope the culpability can and will fall on the individual black hats, but judges may see these things differently. Most gubmint employees in such a situation will likely claim, "I vus chust follovink awrdersss!"

Lawyers for the plaintiff are always looking for defendants with deep pockets to dun, especially if other defendants look a whole lot like "turnips" against whom one might get a judgment, but from whom one is likely never to receive anything more than a few thin dimes. Such lawyers are admonished to name as defendants anyone or any organization that might share in culpability.   (Oh, and IANAL, though I've paid 'em many millions.)

If a judge sees the plaintiff's claim as worthy, and a government employee-defendant's claim of not having a real choice as valid, the judge just might put you and me, the taxpayer on the hook.
