Jay Inslee touts $9 trillion climate plan as economic boom
WUXP-TV ^ | May 16, 2019 | Bill Barrow, The Associated Press|

Inslee compares his "Evergreen Economy" plan, which combines public and private spending, to President Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal, the mobilization of the U.S. manufacturing base during World War II and the 1960s NASA mission to reach the moon.

"We didn't go to the moon because it was easy, but because it was hard," Inslee told The Associated Press ahead of the release of his 38-page plan on Thursday. "We need a common purpose ... that meets the scientific necessity."

Exterminating liberals is a good place to start

We need a Common Purpose and Dedication to spend 100 trillion dollars to protect Earth from invasion by the creatures from the Andromeda Galaxy who are even now on their way.

After 46 years there, I left Seattle 8 years ago. The politics was one of the reasons. One of the wisest moves I ever made.

limited resources of labor, materials and capital spent on non-economic projects with negative return will destroy wealth for most, and the economy as a whole - while possibly benefiting a few insiders.

$9 trillion climate plan as economic boom

Digging holes and filling them back up also creates an "economic boom." As does smashing all the windows in the United States and replacing them.

Their economic ignorance is off the charts. Throwing away perfectly good infrastructure and replacing it with a Soviet centrally-planned, politically anointed "correct" infrastructure does nothing but waste money, create scarcity, and sent prices through the roof.

As one small example, our local school district got a "free money" grant to install EV battery chargers at the district office and at all school sites. I just dropped my wife off at the district office where she works. NOT ONE of the 30 EV chargers recently installed there is being used. Nobody on a teacher's salary can afford and EV -- they are the playthings of the nouveau riche. But these ideas are the darling of the liberals that infest government all over and we now have these chargers, needed or not.

Like many FReepers, I'll be gone in 10 or 20 years. I often wonder how all this is crap is going to turn out. At times I'm sad I won't be here to see how bad it gets, but at other times I'm glad I won't be here to see how bad it gets.

Obama’s $1 trillion “stimulus” plan did less than zero to stimulate the economy. But it sure enriched his crony pals and they funneled lots of the money back to the DNC and to Obama. How else could Obama become so fabulously wealthy?

$9 trillion?

That would solve the problem, easily.

Since climate-change/global-warming is caused by humans, MOSTLY by Americans....

And the problem mostly stems from the fossil-fuel vehicles driven by Americans...

THEN...

The problem would easily be solved by GIVING each American of driving-age $75,000 to purchase $75,000 Teslas (or similar EVs).

My calculation is based on 140 million driving-age Americans, and the $9 trillion to cure the planet. Of course, the $9 trillion would be coming from Americans, since Americans are the problem.

“that meets the scientific necessity”

Like the high school football BMOC would have a clue about “science”.

This guy and DeBozo should be good for some laffs on the campaign trail as competing casper clowns.

What are there now? 26 declared candidates for the Dem nomination in 2020? and not a new idea in the lot.

Truly, a tax-ing situation when Uncle Joe is the new standard bearer.. Things Change, Things Stay the Same.

No proof is necessary to people of the Pacific Northwest why this clown is known as “Jay Dimslee”. Now he’s put it out there so others will understand.

It is public (read government) spending of funds confiscated from private i.e. taxpayers.

Public spending -> private benefit (tax abatements, sweetheart deals, set-asides, handpicked candidates)

Private spending -> private benefit (de facto monopolies, handpicked candidates)

It’s amazing how often they trot out these risible scams.

Since it only costs $25,714 plus per person; most of us will not be able to eat or have a roof over our heads for at least a year or more.

So, the price tag on the dems’ fantasy board over one decade is:

Green New Deal — $51 trillion
“Free” college — $700 billion
“Slavery reparations” — $14 trillion
“Medicare for All” — $35 trillion
Health care for illegals — $900 billion

Total estimated cost: $101.6 trillion

Meanwhile, their plans to rape the accounts of those earning $10 million or more annually would bring in an average of roughly $28 billion per year.

Math is hard for liberals.
