We all miss the cold war, at least those if us who served might. The effort, the machines, Strategic Air command, the Fulda Gap... A huge existential menace was stood up to.
A lot of people made it their life, and found a huge hole in their life when their enemy simply imploded and decided apartments with western appliances, good food, world travel and nice clothes might be fun.
But the cold war is over (or it was). You gotta let it go. And that old world mentality of hate because of decades or centuries old grudges has no place in America.
