FULL TITLE: Trey Gowdy: Comey, Clapper and Brennan Are Validating Trumps Concerns About Their Objectivity by Their Comments and Demeanor
EXCERPT:
GOWDY: "St. James Comey, pretty much the same as every other interview. He is always right. He gets to write the moral script. If you deviate from that, if youre Rod Rosenstein, then you lack character. If youre somebody else, your soul has been eaten. What I kept thinking back to, Jason, was when I asked Jim Comey how did the Russia investigation get started? Who started it? He didnt know it was Peter Strzok, he never read the initiation document. Look, you and I served together a long time. I defend law enforcement just as vigorously as any member of Congress ever has, but that does not mean that there are not opportunities for oversight. Comey refuses to believe that any of these decisions should be looked at. So he is always right. Everybody else is wrong. He and Clapper and Brennan are validating the concerns that other people, including the President, have had about their objectivity by their comments and their demeanor after they left their offices."

Go away Trey you are nothing but a deep sate stooge. At the most damaging moment he will stab us in the back...again.
Trey didn’t ever seem to try to populate the ever empty Darrel Issa Memorial Trophy Room there in the House.
Until folks read up on their constitution and actually learn the power of Congress they can stuff it! Gowdy did his job SUPERBLY. Not only did he uncover the secret email server but nabbed countless others in perjury before our very eyes. Ive harped and harped on these boards about how he uncovered enough that a junior prosecutor straight from college could seat a grand jury and obtain indictments. Nah some folks around here expected an all democrat house, senate DOJ and White House at the time to just get in up and prosecute. There was no way in hell Gowdy was getting prosecutions under those circumstances. Our best chance was within the first two years of the Trump presidency. Im still waiting for those calls. All the while FReepers bashing merrily as if Gowdy had it within his powers to unconstitutionally do more. Utter ridiculousness. Folks bitch and moan when Congress doesnt talk to us then we finally get one that not only talks to us but informs us nightly on what he uncovered. All in the hopes that a lazy ass lethargic public would apply the pressure necessary to the powers that be to indict. HA! Fat chance!
However, this evidence that he uncovered didnt just vanish under Magic fairy dust its still there for all to see. How about we ask THIS DOJ under our present administration when they are going to take this evidence and actually indict?
BRAVO! And thank you - needed to be said.
Thank you. I grow weary of clapping seal cheer leaders who either willfully or ignorantly misdirect and spread misinformation
Well said. Bashing Gowdy is an automatic response from the FR groupthink echo chamber.
This thread also demonstrates what has unfortunately become the FR norm where ad hominem attacks on the speaker take the place of reasoned discussion of the actual issue.
Tome to pull the remaining security clearances: Kerry, Clapper, Comey, ValJar, Samantha Power, Susan Rice, etc.
Gowdy had plenty of opportunity to collude with Sessions during that period to gets some pucks in the goal.
He did and it was Sessions job to convene a Grand Jury and obtain indictments; not Gowdys. Gowdy did his job. The DOJ under the Executive failed and continues to do so
in the intelligence community. Obama put them there!
You guys are right on the money! Trey Gowdy took the investigations as far as he was able to go with them. The gutless GOPe under Ryan refused to do anything with what he came up with. I believe that he didnt run for re-election out of sheer and utter frustration with what happened. Maybe the DOJ will task Gowdy as prosecutor for the upcoming trial of one or more of these bad actors.
