The manager Alex Cora, a critic of the Trump administration’s inexcusable treatment of Puerto Rico amid the devastation of Hurricane Maria in 2017, cited his home island’s continuing troubles as his reason for opting out.

When can we just start saying “Screw you racist bastard”. They don’t deserve any better. This is pure racism and I certainly know I grew up in a less ignorant time than this. Keep calling people “white” and it’s not going to end well. Racism never does.

I will grant that Tiger Woods seems to be discovering his inner white man. I never much cared for him, but now he seems to have had his character tested and come out a better person.
And by “tested,” I mean that he has experienced not only failure for the first time in his life, but the prospect of extended failure with no end in sight. Well, the Masters put an end to that. We shall have to see what the future holds for him.

In the NBA white Euro players are making more and more headway into the league.

Cora must be willfully ignorant. The Trump administration has pumped huge funds into Puerto Rico, but most of it just disappears in the corruption and government swamp.
What is inexcusable is the years of corruption and neglect by Puerto Rico's politicians that left its infrastructure, and in particular the electrical grid, vulnerable to any kind of disturbance, much less a major hurricane.
