Wednesday's massive protests in France for May Day involved some 165-thousand people according to the government but twice that many people according to the protesters.
May Day brought labor unions onto the streets but also Yellow Vests protesters with the small group of two thousand anarchists "stealing the show" with their violent displays of vandalism and attacks on police in Paris.
France's leading opposition politician Marine Le Pen continued to wonder out loud as she has throughout the period of the Yellow Vests protests why the government allows the "black blocs" of militants to materialize inside demonstrations with the National Rally party leader saying:
"there is a kind of complacency of the government"
While she wonders out loud one can only speculate that perhaps its in the government's interests to allow the violence so as to discredit the Yellow Vests movement as a whole.
The Interior Minister was enraged by an incident in Paris during Wednesday's protest that was declared to be an "attack" on a hospital and reported as such by media around the world.
But after 32 people were arrested and there was a judicial probe, all of them released.....
