"If Cuban troops and Militia do not immediately CEASE military and other operations for the purpose of causing death and destruction to the Constitution of Venezuela, a full and complete embargo, together with highest level sanctions, will be place on the island of Cuba. Hopefully, all Cuban soldiers will promptly and peacefully return to their island!"

President Donald J. Trump Tweets Shortly After 5 PM Eastern April 30th, 2019

While there are hopes for change and a massive mobilization called for today in Venezuela, the regime of Nicolas Maduro hopes with its Cuban backed and supported security structure to win the kind of victory that the former President Hugo Chavez won in the end over the opposition in April 2002.

That's when a mass march on the Miraflores Palace seemed to end the rule of Chavez on a Thursday but by Saturday night his motorcyle riding supporters were terrorizing the streets of Caracas and Chavez returned from a very temporary exile at a remote military base.

The original plan of Iterim President Juan Guaido, the elected President of the elected National Assembly, was for massive street demonstrations on May 1st.

But yesterday April 30th there were some dramatic developments in Veneuela's capital city....

If the people of Venezuela were going to overthrow their government, they would have done it already.

This John Bolton puppet who is pretending to be the President - we’ve seen this act before. Every shithole in the world has 5% of the population who are able to act like us, they join NGOs, they go to Davos, they have the IMF on speed dial, they come to Washington to plead the case that their people want “freedom” (i.e., they want THEM in charge instead of whoever is actually in charge), and that the only thing missing is a billion dollars and 20 000 maimed or dead American sons of the soil, who the State Department won’t miss anyway because they are Deplorables or Bitter Clingers.

Been there, done that. Not having it again.

If the Venezuelans are unhappy, let them overthrow the government. If THEY won’t pay the blood price, I’m damned if I’m going to have our guys do it. Again.

Those days are over.

As if we needed any more examples of why a nation of free people should never give up the tools, weapons, and materials to defend themselves from a tyrannical government, we get another example happening in real time.

I would say let the Democrats own the situation in Venezuela. They are pushing for this style of government in the USA. Time for a REAL uprising, and not international intervention. Frederick Douglass said that the 1st drawing of the sword and taking an action, must be done by the slaves...themselves.

Seriously. These poor people in Venezuela. Not only have they been disarmed but they have been starving for two years. Their only. Hope now is to mass rush the soldiers defending Maduro and they could well suffer thousands if not tens of thousands of deaths doing so. And they can’t even hope their countrymen will stop shooting because of the horror because those troops aren’t Venezuelan but apparently are Cuban. What an unenviable position to be in. Starving for years, no weapons, and your best hope is rush hundreds of heavily armed and armored troops by overwhelming then with your thousands. This could get really messy very fast. And our hands are sort of tied because if we send one soldier to Venezuela Maxine Waters and Adam Schiff will rush to the TV cameras bitching about how Trump is putting Russian and Cuban lives in danger. So there they are. No weapons, in pitiful physical condition, no one at their back. Remember what this looks like when Dumbass AMericans say they want Socialism.

Not-so-Humble needs to get a life.

Thanks for the post.

Here is an excerpt.

“One observation about the situation is that much reporting is being done from the country by people biased in favor of the Maduro government. That is reflected in mainstream media echoing the notion of the Maduro government that a “coup” was underway Tuesday.

To develop a fuller picture of the whole situation here are some links to various sources....

A wise man. If Venezuelans want their freedom they’re going to have to spill some blood. Some will have to take one for the team, crash the presidential palace and physically arrest or kill Maduro. Preferably kill him.

This reminds me of what Stalin did to the Kulaks. First it was disarming them, then oppression to get them to comply, then it just got really ugly, with mass murders, planned starvation and imprisonment.

The Socialist Paradise!

We should probably support the Venezuelan neighbors to form a coalition, and then get one of those CIA operated airlines to start night airdropping and funneling AKs, and Russian ammo to the people. Ukraine, and the ex-Soviet Baltics, and Poland still probably have warehouses of old Warsaw Pact firearms and ammo. We just need to get it in the hands of the people, as well as food which we can do on a humanitarian open basis.

If the Venezuelans are unhappy, let them overthrow the government.

Leopoldo Lopez, a well known Venezuelan opposition leader who was imprisoned by the Maduro regime, appeared briefly with Juan Guaido yesterday but was later seen entering the Chilean embassy.

Not exactly a ringing endorsement for success of the movement when its leaders are seeking asylum in another country.

And who was it that said:

“We gotta get the guns” after the Parkland mass murder and imposed a “bump stock ban” after the mass murder in Las Vegas???????

What will happen after the God forbid next insane act of mass murder?
