Funny. My employer has over 300 job openings they can’t fill.

You can lead a horse to water...

When the government funds people for not working - when Millenials whine that they deserve 6 figures a year for slinging coffee while living in their moms basement (and whose probably getting social security from the government for her “child”) there’s no reason to work and this they stay in the 2nd column.

But to stop THAT problem is going to require some “hate speech”

“Funny. My employer has over 300 job openings they can’t fill.”

I am seeing more help wanted signs than I have ever seen before and I’m 65. I call BS.

My ex wife is now making the best $$$ she has in 30 years.
Her voting for Clinton, Obama and Hillary didn’t get her this job.
Me voting for Donald Trump did.

I didn’t tell her that of course.

“Not in the labor force” includes all the retired and disabled folks, and the bums. So it’s a BS statistic.

Had to schedule a doctors appointment for my mom today, instead of music on the wait line they were running a help wanted request.

Employers have got crazily specific in the skills and experience they want, and then when they aren’t willing to bid competitively for them they complain about the workforce.

That’s what you get for it having been an “employer’s market” for the last 30 years.

“... the number of Americans categorized as “not in the labor force” has absolutely exploded since the last recession. Right now, that number is sitting at 95.577 million.”

Does that count children, retirees and others that have typically always been ‘not in the labor force’? What about those working under the table while collecting money from some government program?

That’s what I want to know. How many people are elderly, disabled, children, wealthy/rich not working, wives not working, people who don’t want to work.

That’s what happens when jobs become plentiful and people who had given up on working pour back onto the job-market - and people who have jobs quit to look for better opportunities which they think are out there......

All our local construction companies and subcontractors are booked solid months out. The can’t find qualified, non-druggie people.

The country has 50,000 unfilled truck driver positions.

Yep, things are just awful now.
