The Telegraph published an article claiming it would be a travesty to restore Notre Dame as it was just a day after the fire, while Rolling Stone quoted a Harvard architecture historian as saying that the burning of a building so overburdened with meaning
feels like an act of liberation.

Which was why the fire was started in the first place.
That's what burning Harvard would feel like.
Haha...hahahaha...love it
I too have already said folks would ask for minarets.
On one level at least some secularists, probably those with their heads shoved farthest up their cans when it comes to Islam, seem to have never really given up on dechristianization.
On the other we should just expect the Mohammadans to try to advance their heathen plan for world conquest.
But even if they restart rebuilding as Roman catholic I fully expect, unless Christ returns first, for the plans to be changed to a mosque anyway given the current arc of population replacement the OIC is pressing through control of the UN refugee aparatus.
You know what I mean. No damn glass clgs and other silly things liberal architects dream up.
Use modern materials.
Sprinkler it.
Take the pressures off the flying buttresses.
That kind of stuff.
Notre Dame is owned by the French State / Ministry of Culture
Why does anything think “rebuilding” of Notre Dame will be immune from politics and parasitic Neo-marxism?
I love reading about architecture, but too many of the architects have no tact these days. Just fix it as it was. Instead of applying fads, reconnect with the skills of the people that built it. This is a massive opportunity!
This should have thousands applying for the educational opportunities alone. Certainly the few craftspeople left will have a job for life, and the ability to take on apprentices
Screw the Muslims.
Interesting.
Meaninglessness and post modernism go together well.
Know why those stained glass windows light up?
Cuz it’s dark inside; they’re the brightest things.
If you bring in a ton of competing light, those will be washed out. It won’t look pretty.
During summer you’ll also have to air condition like crazy.
Perhaps by observing what they choose to honor in its reconstruction, and why, we will understand why Notre Dame was allowed to be destroyed by fire in the first place.
Is this a Heres your sign kind of thing or just another day here in paradise?
Make it as close to the original as possible, no one will go to see modernist crap.
What a sick, twistedd, and evil thing to even think. Let alone say.
I was thinking blue tarp for a couple years.
TRUMP HOTEL de’ PARIS - It’ll be YUUUUGE.
Beautiful.....exactly like that!
No, just no.
There is nothing more ugly and soulless than modern architecture.
I couldnt agree more.
