Notre Dame Fire Deemed ‘Accident,’ But Here’s What the Media is Not Telling You

On Monday, the world reacted in horror as the nearly 900-year old Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris was nearly completely destroyed by fire.

Horrific flames quickly engulfed the entire core structure, and after 2 hours, the iconic spire collapsed, along with most of the roof and its 210 tons of lead.

That's what we know.

Here's what we don't: What caused it?

Well the media seems to have focused on one reason, and one reason only: the cathedral was "under construction" -- a reported $7 million project lasting years, and scheduled to complete just this year.

Therefore the most logical reason, absent obvious foul play, is a "construction accident."

FoxNews and most other nets treated it as such:

Given the scope of the renovations, it is quite likely a "welding spark ignited paint thinner" or any other cause widely speculated in media reports, that can typically occur on a busy construction site.

But there's just one big problem with that.

Two hours after the spire collapsed, French-Greek journalist Sotiri Dimpinoudis reported that there were no construction workers onsite at the time of the fire:

“Terrorism and conspiracies are oh so much sexier than a careless construction worker.”

Many thanks for such profound insight.

However, it was probably Muslims, since they are burning churches weekly in France, or slitting priests’ throat while they are conducting mass, etc.

It doesn’t work to compare Notre Dame to a private home. Yes, accidents and faulty wiring can happen anywhere, but Notre Dame must have had an enormous amount of security measures in place and fires should have been observed and extinguished quickly. Notre Dame is an international religious treasure in a terrorism-prone region where churches are often attacked. There was a terrorism incident there last year and the second largest church in Paris was set on fire just one month ago. Surely, there were cameras everywhere and a large security team in place. Yes, I know that the structure was wooden, but I have my doubts that this fire started as a little spark.

Saw a fire “expert” on TV who said that dropping water like they do on forest fires would likely have brought down the roof immediately.

Ah, the Normandy explanation.

Only problem it was the mob trying to spring some boss behind the Normandy.

“One month ago there was the New Zealand mosque shooting... also a month ago, another church caught fire in France, a priest was stabbed not too long ago...
And just last week I caught a skunk in my live trap that was living under my back deck.

Too strange to think that all these events are mere coincidence. Something smells...........”

That would still be the skunk.

Strangely bizarre logic being applied here..../ S

You can have a “construction fire” happen with no “construction workers”

he Sécurité Civile of France, part of the French Ministry of Interior,
said hundreds of members of the Paris Fire Brigade were doing everything
possible to get the fire under control and save the historic structure.
The agency said in a tweet, “all means are being used, except for
water-bombing aircrafts which, if used, could lead to the
collapse of the entire structure of the cathedral.”

Just saw that- understand.

Early hours and it seems we don’t know much yet, but if it’s true there were two points of origin and no construction workers on site at the time, that’s odd, at least.

It most likely was an accident with the repairs going on.

However, I would NOT put this past the liberal media to cover anything up and lie about it. That is how cynical I am because they lie about everything.

I concur.

The only thing we know for sure is Notre Dame burned today.

Any speculation on cause is just that...speculation at this point.

“So, if there were “no construction workers on the site”, ho was there - after the tourists were locked out?”

The Keebler Elves of course. Please do try and keep up, won’t you?

“welding spark ignited paint thinner”
“a reported $7 million project lasting years”

None of this really makes sense. Not sure there is a lot of welding in such an old building. Busy construction site for a several year project costing only $7mill?

If it is a construction accident I vote soaked rags and spontaneous combustion.

In this era of truth suppression speculation is not only necessary but mandatory.

Hey, there have been two or three vandalism like attacks weekly in France for several months. And they tried to blow it up before.

Just saying...
