U.S. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., called President Trump’s recent barb about her being a “young bartender” a compliment and lashed out at Amazon while speaking with constituents Saturday.
“There’s nothing wrong with being a bartender," Ocasio-Cortez said at a joint event in the New York City borough of Queens alongside New York state Sen. Michael Gianaris. “It’s so crazy to at once mock someone for being from a working-class background, for being a bartender, for shaming me for where I was born and where I’m from and on the other hand, when I lean into my identity and who I am and all of that, people are saying that’s not true either."
The freshman congresswoman said her work as a bartender gave her first-hand experience with health care issues, the New York Daily News reported. She said that unlike Trump, she bought into health care public exchanges.

This woman has a very serious mental problem. While many think she is very confident, her actions and reactions to things said about her indicate she has a serious self image problem. Add to that her lack of knowledge about just about everything and the woman becomes just another loud mouth.

Actually, she went from being a radical leftist community organizer to becoming a radical leftist congresswoman.
Her job bartending is insignificant. But this is the part-time career that the media (and FReepers) tend to focus on. The media loves the bartender narrative because it allows them to ignore her activism as a Bernie Sanders campaign volunteer. Many here focus on the bartender narrative because they think pouring drinks makes her stupid.
Bartending did not turn AOC into a communist. She was steeped in the tenets of latino socialism growing up. These beliefs were strengthened and solidified at Boston U. and then put into action working for the Bernie Sanders campaign.
She also loves to crow about her “humble beginnings.”

Trump is widely derided as being stupid, when he has built buildings all over the world, and comes into office knowing more than any of them how the world works in a practical manner, banking, practical politics, hands-on building and contracting, making payrolls, all of it, and has had to learn all of that over decades.
Most politicians have ever only been lawyers, and have a myopic view of how things work, and in fact know very little about how it works. So, compared to lawyers, she isn’t much different in her lack of knowledge. But also like lawyers, her arrogance blinds her to her own lack of knowledge. She figures that with enough power she could remake the world in her own image.
When you're young, famous, and photogenic, designers let you "borrow" their outfits all the time.
