Trump is far too gentle with those who plotted against him. A serious man would have arrested Comey, McCabe, Clapper, Brennan and Lynch Day 1 of his Administration. They tried to rig a Presidential election, prevent him from taking office and harassed him to prevent policy implementations for two years. Yet they remain free. Historically when a coup fails, either the conspirators are arrested and made to suffer severely or the leader demonstrates weakness, vulnerability and eventually will in fact be deposed.

This is just one example of the plentiful and deeply woven web of reasons why the establishment went to defcon-1 after the man who had chants of “lock her up” and “drain the swamp” got elected POTUS. This example is not an outlier. It typifies a pervasive arrogance in DC.
That's not irony, that's Democrat SOP. They invariably accuse their victims of what they are doing, a variation of the "big lie" technique described by Adolf Hitler.
A big reason they behave in such an outrageous manner is that they know the MSM will back their play, while silencing or downplaying anyone who objects.
It is not irony, it is projection. It is a defense mechanism that has worked quite well for them so far.
The Democrats spent almost 10 years prosecuting Barry Bonds for obstruction. These guys should be prosecuted at least as hard.
They further reasoned that as high and esteemed unelected officials their efforts were above and beyond the law, and rightly so, given their assumed superior wisdom and morality.
And there we have the Deep State, more accurately branded the "Deep Swamp" and why it is the ultimate danger to the American Way.

Imagine a world where people in the media hated corruption; true corruption and wanted to see justice served. All the stories about this whole scandal/corruption/criminal behavior could earn someone a Pulitzer with books and movies. It’s a shocking and outrageous story, but it only proves the corruption of the media itself. All they have to do is claim freedom of the press and they are more protected than Smollett. When are we going to have a law made about journalism fraud where they can’t hide. Or a law saying the party that benefits over media lies has to put that under a campaign contribution. It’s so frustrating.
Let us not have any further delay in these matters.
