RE .22:

.22 has been around for a long time, too. Check this out - Recently, a friend of mine inherited a few rifles from a relative that passed on. One of them was a Mauser training rifle in “Kleine Caliber” - .22 training rifle, looked like a Kar98. I’d never seen one of those before.

RE .30-30:
.30-30 has been “The Deer Killer” here and up in Canada for a long time. Reliably putting meat on the table since 1895...
