One of my buddy’s that was there for the mile shot shoots that. It’s real pricy. One would be better off with a 300 Norma or PRC for the range and price. You can get some extremely high bc bullets for the 338, but there comes a time when money comes into play.

Yeah, money.

Around here, a hundred yards is about as far as you can see.... well, you can see the next ridge a few miles away, and across some big clear-cuts. In a SHTF scenario, just about anything would do. Thirty cal is good for lots of options...110 to 220 grains, .308 or 30-06. They’re still working on a range that’s been a political football for decades. It’s supposed to be 600 yards when finished Must be nice to have plains and cooperative coyotes in the back forty.
