Good for you.
I’m in south central Indiana. Why wold I need Facebook to find out the weather?
I’ve never signed up for any of it.
I didn’t let my kids sign up for any of it while they were at home. One of them thanks us pretty regularly.
My wife’s account(s) are all completely fake, so she can play games.
Remember how we “cut the cord” with cable? Well... cut the cord.

get your data directly from the NWS model, like all the other weather websites do.
use the map to zero in on the model grid point where your home is and bookmark that, and then you’ll have a personalized weather forecast for your home.
Just enter zip code and voilà => https://www.weatherforyou.com/
Is there a way to be on Tweater without a phone number?
They suspended my account because I won’t give them one.
Today, they were about 5 degrees low, and the airport NWS site is only a couple of miles away.
I never started an Insta account specifically BECAUSE Facebook bought them.
Your post renews my happiness with my decision.
Same way I’m happy I never started smoking, as now I don’t have to give it up.
Quit FB several years ago, never had a Twitter account.
But they send you a code to restore the account via text on this number.
Welcome to the club :-)
I refuse to give them my phone number.
Others have suggested a burner phone, but I wouldn’t know the first step in getting one.
It started out as a very local group for people around Grissom to keep up on adverse weather as it approached the area. It has since expanded to include a much broader area. I post weather reports, forecasts, watches, warnings and anything else weather related that people look for each day.
I use that as one of my sources.
And I use that one as one of my sources as well.
That,,,, will be a major undertaking because I'm no good at designing webpages.
Never had Twitter or Instagram but dumped my FB about a year ago.
I did not like the things that FB was able to infer about me from my friends and contacts.
Haven’t missed it a bit.
i hear you...i check into FB about once a month now and will soon cut cable. still using twitter a bit have a good following using to communicate news to a faithful patriot. will ditch them all one day and just sew and embroidery...
am really getting somewhere with embroidery now that I dont give a %&*^ about social media.
Thanks for venting. I vented about two years ago. It is sad to see American made products become harmful and traitorous. Plus, we all need to spend less time on the computer.
