That would have been my Dad and his buddies at Texas Electric Service Company.
Awwwww. Tsk tsk.
AOC can pipeline in bovine generated methane.
First thing I did when I moved into my house in Midland was buy a gas stove and run gas throughout. Before that, the only gas appliance in the home was the water heater.
Sold it 6 years later with an added gas fireplace. Took less than 48 hours to sell.
“Are the unicorns not producing enough natural gas?”
The unicorns are too busy crapping skittles and ice cream.
“The next time a leftist farts, light a match and run. Goodness, gracious, great balls of fire!”
Won’t happen. Liberal men don’t have any balls.
Attacking their means of survival without a thought.

They have lots of thoughts.
Nationalizing all sources and methods of energy production/transport/use is a major one. Of course, being leftists, that will be the death knell for entire industries.
Perhaps they will issue intersectional waivers allowing (some)energy use to their favored cohorts. In return for high fees (taxes), of course.
This is a perfect opportunity to show just how delusional Progressives are with their alternate fuel mantra.
Just make the developers utilize “clean fuel” options as espoused by Gov. Cuomo and AOC. Think of how “exciting” the sales brochures would be with pictures of wind generators or solar fields blocking views.
Tell every new resident their thermostat only goes up to 65 degrees because “we gotta save the planet.”
Air conditioning? NO..the fluorocarbons are “opening a hole” in the ozone layer.
And make sure EVERYONE knows this is a result of Cuomo, AOC, and the “New Green Deal” they want to implement on the country.
They will be stuck in homes and states they cant escape from.Liberals destroy everything and leave the mess for others to repair.their media stays quiet so people dont even realize they are about to be destroyed.
Kinder Morgan proposed a pipeline from PA to MA through NY. There is a shortage of natural gas in eastern Mass and southern NH. The NIMBY went into effect with all the fear mongering. The people in Mass said no, not in my back yard. So, they proposed bringing it through southern NH. Right through my town along AN EXISTING RIGHT OF WAY for an electric transmission line that already had a 1’ diameter gas line.
The proposed was a 3’ diameter line. Again, the NIMBY went into effect. People put up signs that said “blast zone” where if the pipeline ruptured it would blow up the area. People said why should this line go through our backyards when we will not benefit from it. Well Kinder Morgan eventually gave up on the idea. Meanwhile, almost everyone here continues to heat their homes with either #2 home heating oil or propane. I have an oil furnace and a pellet stove. There are only a couple people in my office that have natural gas available in front of their residence. Primarily because they live near their local high school or elementary school where the gas line stops.
Actually, a lot of the electricity in NYS(not sure about NYC) comes from the Robert Moses powerplant just downstream from Niagara Falls.
If you ever visit Niagara Falls in the summer, take one of the jet boat tours that leaves just north of the Niagara escarpment(a 600’ drop off). The river there is about a mile wide. The boats have twin 1800 HP engines. They take you south into the canyon where you pass the power plants on both the Canadian and US sides of the river. The river narrows to about 150’ wide and the flow is over 30 mph in the rapids. They take you up to whirlpool rapids about 1 mile downstream from the falls and then back down again. It is something I would higher recommend. Also, take the Maid of the Mist right up to the falls. Not as exciting but still fun.
Eversource and prior to that PSNH has been trying to push the Northern Pass electric transmission line through NH for years now. The main issue is that they do not want to pay to bury the line in the northern part of NH that is not along an existing Right of Way.
The people up north do not want this line to ruin their view, etc. where they depend on tourism for a big part of their income. Plus we really do not need the electricity here in NH except in the two counties in the southern part of the state that abut Mass. However, Seabrook nuke plant is not going to last forever. When it is eventually closed we will need the power.
So, Eversource is going to eventually going to have to pay to bury the line for probably 30 miles up north for the people to agree with it. The fact is the hydroelectricity is by far the cheapest and cleanest method of generating electricity. Also, Quebec hydro has more generating capacity than it will ever use. IMHO, this is what NH should have done back in the 1970’s/1980’s instead of building Seabrook. It would have been a lot cheaper in the long run. I guess that is why they called the former governor John SuNUKEnu.
Liberal: I’m OK with ME having natural gas, I just don’t want everyone else to have it. Except my family. And my friends.
Global Warming on Free Republic here, here and here
I’ll wager that the GRAND POOBAHS in NY have as much natural gas as they want!
Re your reply, “Won’t happen. Liberal men don’t have any balls”.
I was talking about Liberal women. /sarc/sarc/sarc and repeat
