The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965, alternatively known as the Hart-Celler Act, opened America’s borders to the world, and forever changed the rules of political engagement in this nation. No longer was politics fought along primarily ideological (Right versus Left) or historical (North versus South) lines; instead, mass immigration made it exceedingly profitable to play the game of identity politics. By catering to the disparate group identities of new immigrants, the Democrats realized they could lock-up a potentially infinite source of voters.
And while it’s true that America’s political culture has always, to some degree, been mired in issues of identity due mainly to slavery’s legacy, it is also true that by 1965 the exploitation of black-white tensions was not a “growth market”—especially considering that the Democrats were on the losing side of the Civil Rights Movement. They needed a fresh source of reliable voters, and they created one.
Since 1965, more than 45 million people have immigrated to the United States, and America’s immigrant population is now at an all-time high. Obviously, immigration has added significant numbers of new voters, but perhaps less obvious is the fact that America’s immigrant population votes Democrat by an extraordinary margin.
According to a report from the Center for Immigration Studies, immigrants vote Democrat by a ratio of at least 2-to-1, and this gap is widening. This data is supported by a study from Pew Research, which finds that non-white Americans vote Democrat by a roughly 3-to-1 ratio. This is important only insofar as the vast majority of immigrants since the 1965 reforms are not white, and therefore there is significant overlap between the datasets—they prove the same point.
Not only do immigrants vote left, so do their children—and their children’s children. As it turns out, political affiliation is highly heritable, as Jonathan Haidt notes in The Righteous Mind. Of course, this is not to say that politics is genetic, but only that the beliefs and values that underpin a person’s political opinions are shaped by their upbringing.
Politics, like many bad habits, runs in the family.

Important thing to remember: many legal immigrants do NOT vote for Democrats.
Many people who came from communist countries recognize communism, when they see it and recognize the true nature of the Dem agenda and did not, nor would they ever vote for it.
The overwhelming majority of legal immigrants vote democrat. That’s what the 1965 act did when it said most immigrants shall come from the third world or be non white. It needs to be overturned.

Immigrants were the backbone of the Democrat Party long before 1965. The Irish were as dependable Democrat voters ss was the Solid South. As were the Jews and Italians. Germans were more evenly split.My grandfather voted 4 times for FDR enen though as governor of NY FDR broke the power of Tammany and cost my grandfather his position in NYC govt, senfing him back to being a lowly court reporter and costing my mom her chance at college. She never voted Dem. Contrary to the position of my Italian dad, a union member who voted for FDR in 44 then for Truman, Stevenson as did his father in law. There are immigrants who work hard to come here assimilate and become citizens.
Then, there are illegal border-crossing invaders who come here for free stuff, do not have any intention of assimilating or becoming citizens, and have no skills or money. These are the people WE do not want, but Democrats and Republican politicians do want.

And what did those 45 million do to deserve to “move to” the United States 200 years after the Americans did the heavy lifting of fighting the wars and settling the land and creating the single most successful nation on Earth?
And why should those of us whose families were part of that knuckle under and live under rules these people now want to force on us?
In 2016, Nancy brought a Congressional delegation to Mexico City to meet with Mexican dignitaries. Pelosi told the Mexican president and his entourage: “We come here as a bipartisan and large delegation to express our respect for the people of Mexico and the country of Mexico; to acknowledge our shared border and our shared values and to learn more about how we can work together for the bright future for not only our two countries but for our hemisphere.”
Pelosi later said the Congressional delegation had a busy time in Mexico City. “We heard a sermon on the importance of workers in Mexico, a view we share. We’ve met with members of the American Chamber of Commerce. We had a very beneficial meeting with Director General Zapata on the subject of the economy and on the subject of TPP (trade pact) especially.
"And then we had a glorious meeting, a really very thorough exchange of subjects and views – again about our shared values and our shared border – with the President [of Mexico]......with Members of the Federal Deputies – Mexican Federal Deputies – and Senators. And in the evening we had a dinner meeting with the Mexican Foreign Minister,” Pelosi said.

Monday through Friday of this last week, our little podunk county turned over 100+ illegals to ICE and US Marshals. That’s business as usual. Multiply that 100+ across the nation. Yes, we do indeed have an emergency.
How many legal immigrants came here on false purposes? How many lied to get in? How many married their brother to get in and then ran for office in order to change the US?

That's true, but unfortunately their numbers are small compared to the immigrants from south of the border and Asia, 70%+ of whom vote for the Dims.
And this article is correct. As far as appeal to the US population really up through Reagan, the Dims are a failed party on a national basis. They've been bailed out by massive Third World immigration and legalization of illegals since the 1980s when legal immigration was increased to 700,000 (under GHWB) plus, and later to 1,000,000 plus.
And the Dims know massive immigration is the only reason they can still compete on a national basis, thus their open borders policies that Trump has forced them to finally admit.
And? The immigration laws are not going to be tightened from her on out, only weakened. We had our chance from 2017-18.
