Hollywood celebrities are constantly lecturing the rest of America on how to live, what to eat and who to vote for. They're better than you and me. But now and then things go wrong.
Like yesterday:
They cheated. They cheated the system, they cheated their kids and they cheated the kids who should have been granted acceptance into those schools. This doesn't happen every day: Hollywood stars Felicity Huffman and Lori Loughlin and Loughlin's fashion designer husband, Mossimo Giannulli, were arrested Tuesday and charged with paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes to cheat their daughters into college.
The three were charged along with nearly 50 other people in a scheme in which wealthy parents allegedly bribed college coaches and insiders at college testing centers to help get their children into some of the most elite schools in the country, federal prosecutors said at a dramatic news conference in Boston.
Huffman was arrested Tuesday in Los Angeles, and by dinner was released on $250,000 bail. Loughlin was not yet in custody but was expected to make a court appearance on Wednesday afternoon, said Thom Mrozek, spokesman for the U.S. Attorney's Office Central District in Los Angeles.
A spokeswoman for Huffman, Elizabeth Much, told USA TODAY on Tuesday she had "no information to share at this time."
In the case of Huffman, she made a $15,000 "donation" which happened to boost her daughter's SAT scores by 400 points.
Loughlin and her husband made "donations" totaling $500,000 to sneak their daughters into USC.
The worst of it is that the younger Loughlin daughter didn't give a damn about going to college.Investigators say in the affidavit that in July 2016, the couple "agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC (University of Southern California) crew team, despite the fact they did not participate in crew, thereby facilitating their admission to USC."
CW-1 advised Giannulli in a July 2016 email that his older daughter's academic qualifications were at or just below the "low end" of USC's admission standards. "Thereafter, the Giannullis agreed with CW-1 to use bribes to facilitate her admission to USC as a recruited crew coxswain, even though she did not row competitively or otherwise participate in crew," the affidavit says.
I dont know how much of school Im gonna attend, she shared with her nearly 2 million subscribers, after explaining her extensive work schedule. But Im gonna go in and talk to my deans and everyone, and hope that I can try and balance it all. You don’t want to click, so others should click for you.
You don’t care what others think, so you engage them in an argument.
You should try to live your own life. You’re constantly giving other people power over you. Why do you do that?
I'm a phony WHAT?
You mean I really actually LOVE blogs?
Phony what exactly?
You are one of dozens of folks who cry about my opinion of bloggers.
I can't name them, nor you. You simply aren't that important.
Cry on, Sobby McSobberson. Bloggers are trash.
You make two, three, four clicks to post a response. Plus click dozens of keystrokes to type your dumb screed.
But you claim you don’t want to do a single click on a link someone provides.
You’re deeply conflicted. I think you have some sort of mental problem.
They’re all just pixels on a screen. Just patterns on some phosphors. But you’re letting them control you, letting them force you to make a fool of yourself. It’s interesting.
“The guy designed his posting to get me to click.
I will not do his bidding,”
(1)Grasp the mouse firmly with you hand.
(2)Move it back and forth and side to side until the little thingy is over the address.
(3)Use your index finger (that’s the one next to your thumb) to click on the address. (see #2)
(4)Read.
See how simple that was noob!
But I have no desire to click on anything to read what some wanker says.
Why should I?
I should assist some wanker in his effort to convince
folks that he is ever-so-much smarter than the rest of us?
No.
Screw that guy.
You assume many things just from me not liking bloggers.
Maybe you should visit the Q threads.
In recent times the FBI seems to be the investigative branch of the DNC.
I’m not assuming anything. I’m simply observing, Humjob.
More popcorn.

FEDERAL CRIME to do Income Tax Evasion.
The money they spent to accomplish the cheating was paid to a ‘Non-Profit’ & they took the Charity deductions.
The high amounts of those deductions shown on the filings of the “Non-Profit” were what raised the flag in the first place.
IIRC from my Accounting classes, ANY evidence of Tax Evasion can allow the IRS to review ALL your tax returns back to the day you were born.
I am betting that plenty of these people have other problems on their tax returns.
Their CPA’s can also be in trouble.
This scandal is just starting——it has ‘legs’.
You are correct. The high amounts of ‘donations’ to that Non=Profit is what started the investigation, I have heard.
You do indeed assume... and claim... some things.

That’s fine, you amuse me and should continue.
Looks like you’re running out of material though.
Resorting to name-calling is pretty weak.
The poor dear is starved for attention. He has no human contact in the real world, his dog left him, cats won't go near him ... even cockroaches avoid him. So he rants against bloggers ... and that gets people to communicate with him. Even argument and invective are better than the utter void that would be his life if he didn't troll FR, raving against bloggers.
I know. I'm serving as his narcissistic supply. Probably not a good thing to do.
Who? Who is that?
Are you afraid to post to that person?
Why? Can't you address him directly like a man?
Even argument and invective are better than the utter void that would be his life if he didn't troll FR
Perhaps you could gather up your balls and actually post to the
person that you are talking about. Are you afraid? What are you scared of?
You can do it! You can BE someone! GO YOU!
I stand by my statement in an earlier post on this thread. The FBI recently has been used as the investigative arm of the DNC. They can go at 50 or so people over this but were told to stand down on the hildabeast??
I don’t judge; I can’t say if it’s good or bad ... it just is. I won’t do it, though. Perhaps if everyone here ignored him, instead of responding to his drivel, he’d be driven to get up from the computer, take a shower, go outside, and seek the companionship of real live human beings.
How true. And its not the only department that has been politically weaponized.
