Harvard is a private school - their admissions process essentially says they’ll admit whoever they want to admit. Hogg has leveraged the fact that he was at a school where a shooting took place to turn himself into an agitator for gun control, and Harvard likes that.
Title IX and government grants says they can’t admit whoever they want. There is a lawsuit in court right now that is scaring Harvard and the rest of higher education to death. Harvard could just stop accepting government grants and the Title IX laws go away. Yeah right...
He got admitted because of his activism. That’s just the cold, hard truth.
Sure, Harvard isn’t going to admit every guy with Hogg’s academic/test record, but it can afford to admit the occasional one without hurting its averages.
Now he’ll have the cred and network of a Harvard degree and be able to do very well in left-wing politics. That’s why the committee picked him. Merit has nothing to do with it.

A mom in Georgia was sentenced to 3 years probation and ordered to pay $30,000 to a school district when she cut corners trying to get her kid out of a cess pool school district and into one with better schools. Single, black mom raising two kids.

He’ll find his niche. Mostly as an activist, rather than as a student. He’ll take easy courses that confirm what he already believes. And if he does get slapped down in class for being too annoying it can only do him good.
Either some one at Harvard will have to keep tight control on him....or he's out.

Hogg is a lot brighter than AOC and may well have a career in Leftist Politics. Need to be better educated but he has a good speaking style and he has a natural political sense that will serve him well in the next 20 years. He will be the Commassar of Political right think when the Libs take iron power—Maybe even run the death camps for Enemies of the People’s Republic. All of us on FR may have our fate in his merciful hands.
