Rep. Maxine Waters, who is leading a probe into President Donald Trump's finances, wants Trump's nonprofit foundation to be the Democrats' next target because of tax evasion concerns.
The House Financial Services Committee chairwoman hinted to reporters on Thursday that she may even have a lead in the form of a letter "from somebody who told me about a situation that they want to talk with me more about.”
Trump agreed to shut down his personal charity in December following a lawsuit brought by the New York attorney general that alleged the president and his children used the foundation for their personal and political benefit.
“I think that’s an area that should be looked at because I think the foundation has been used by him to avoid paying taxes," the California Democrat said.

Conversely, in the void of investigations into the Clintons foundation, it shows a handful of things, mainly 1) how spineless the republicans are and 2) how complicit that Mueller is 3 the breath and depth of the Clinton criminality is and their propensity to sell out America.

Well, duuh...If there were not tax advantages there wouldn't BE any "foundations" other than the truly charitable, like Chick-fil-A maybe. But the Clinton Foundation is set up to hide illegal income, nothing more.
The desperation is palpable. They are flailing and failing.
Mad Max has very selective vision and outrages. It does no valid good to scold her, she cannot see what she will not, and the preconceived notions are so firmly embedded that nothing short of a lobotomy will even begin to dislodge these beliefs.
But it might slow down the crazy eyes and the endless pronouncements of “Impeach 45!”

This is bothering me. What is the scope of congressional oversite? Is it to keep an eye on the executive branch and hold them accountable or to investigate the non political lives and activities of private citizens?

It is a mystery to me why so many politicians and pundits are suddenly committing career and party suicide. I suppose it’s because there has been a failure to recognize that they’ve been living in and promoting a fantasy world. In the meantime, the president has called their bluff, exposed the cant, and forced them into chaos and ruinous policies.
The failure of the Weekly Standard and the decline of the National Review have exposed the not-conservative Trump haters as unpragmatic, unrealistic snobs. They are now shaking the begging cup to keep from having to earn an honest living. In the face of the president’s rising popularity among voters and the economic and diplomatic successes of this administration, they continue to believe that on the right there are readers and donors who will keep them at it...
Fat chance. The man they detest is carrying out policies they so often claimed to support, and the voters — most of whom they look down on — approve...
The voters hold these views, despite the media’s nonstop lying. Voters are just not as stupid as the media thinks we are.
