My personal opinion is the purpose of the special council was to put people beyond reach, like Strok, Page, Weismann etc.

The appointment of the SC was Rod Rosenstein's doing. At the time of the appointment I doubt RR really knew what was going on. He was getting hammered from everywhere and decided to punt not knowing that is exactly what TPTB wanted him to do.

Some “mistakes” are useful to get more face time for the good articles....I spend a couple hours on FR each morning - it it ain’t there in that time frame, I miss it.

Jim, just an FYI. When I first attempted to post this article from American Greatness in "Extended News", I received a notice that articles from AG had to be posted in "bloggers". I cut and pasted the entire article in the bloggers section and it appeared in toto without being excerpted.

Sorry I had to pull you in for the editing function but perhaps there's a bug in this particular posting process.
