Ilhan Omar clashed with newly minted Venezuela Envoy Elliott Abrams during a Wednesday hearing in front of the House Foreign Relations Committee discussing the role of the US military in Central America.
“Mr. Abrams, in 1991 you pleaded guilty to two counts of withholding information from Congress regarding your involvement in the Iran-Contra affair, for which you were later pardoned by president George H.W. Bush,” began Omar. “I fail to understand why members of this committee or the American people should find any testimony that you give today to be truthful.”
“If I could respond to that…” interjected Abrams.
“It was not a question,” shot back Omar.
After a brief exchange in which Abrams protested “It was not right!” Omar cut Abrams off, saying “Thank you for your participation.”

The Rats had better tread softly here. They are not going to like it when they get the same kind of disrespect they dish out right back in their face. The GOP needs to take lessons from Trump on that.

I think he held his tongue/temper very well. Now, had he responded something like, “well, that’s rich coming from a jew-hating,racist, illiterate brother-*^*^*^, then I might say that he got a little hot. Otherwise, to me, he was reserved.

If she were in the same room as I was and spoke to me like that, I know I’d b-slap her across the room. Nobody speaks to me like that. I was raised in the Midwest, where many people had never met a Jew. They said things to me out of either malice or ignorance that I can’t repeat here. I learned to defend myself very early in life. I guess Mr. Abrams is better suited for consular work than I am.
She’s a surly bitch. My blood pressure went up watching that exchange.
Of course they're going to re-elect her. We filled the place full of Somalis. They're going to send their own people to DC. Nobody should think otherwise.
