I get some of the very best possible bacon from HEB. Not sure where it is grown, but it is mesquite and hickory smoked. Emm Emm Good! Buy it in pack of 3 one-pound packages. The Best.

Next time you have to put together a quick supper and don’t want to mess with cooking, try some of it precooked on a peanut butter sandwich. Smile. Surprisingly good. I’ve even at times added banana slices on it too.

Or even better just make up a BLT sandwich with it.

Wright Brand used to supply thick bacon to most grocery stores years ago. I now see the packages with their label on it at most chains in the DFW area.

Well worth it.

We used to get our from Vernon TX and it just tasted better than anything else. Looks like they were bought out by Tyson, who has smartly kept the name.
