Trump is literally tied up by investigations and blocked from every direction, the fact he has gotten done what he has is flat out amazing.

He is the proverbial boy with his finger in the dike holding back the tide of corruption that the Dems want to sweep this country away with...

Look, he has big accomplishments but that does not mean he’s infallible. If you’re objective about it, he’s has made some mistakes like any other human being.

I’ve worked on huge, complex projects subject to all kinds of constraints. One thing that is never tolerated is insubordination or people attempting to undermine the authority of top management (e.g., a Rod Rosenstein like character).

Fire these arrogant, self-indulgent “intelligence” people. They are beyond the Constitution.

The question is why hasn't he dropped a dime on them? Also, did they testify under oath? And if so, would that be perjury?

I've for a long time think Trump likes to chum the waters. Another example is Kellyanne. Bad enough hubby zings Trump with his tweets, but the new book that's out claims Kellyanne is often one of the unnamed sources so often cited with inside the WH gossip. Where I work, I would have been long gone had my spouse been so public in rebuking my boss. Even an allegation of me back channeling information would soon have me dispatched too. Yet

An aversion to firing people. Place has been a revolving door. Except for some.

He’s trying to make progress while wading through political quicksand. No doubt about that. But he may have been able to make things a little easier on himself by removing people in his own administration who are undermining him.

Please see my #31.

POTUS tried playing ball with the GOPe at the start of his admin. Brought Rinse Pribus into the WH, etc. But they stabbed him in the back from the beginning and made any personnel changes as difficult as possible.

Donald “You’re Fired” Trump has an aversion to firing people? Interesting take there.

Perhaps there is another issue at play here. Like the fact his own party does not support him and undermines his administration on a daily basis.

I agree. Trump was surrounded by self-serving jackals from the get go. He knew coming in that it was a Swamp but I don’t think he ever fully realized how vast, corrupt and deep it really is.

By hesitating to remove people he emboldened the subversive elements within his administration. They don’t fear him and that only makes the problem worse.

Not firing most of the Obama holdovers and not cleaning house like many presidents do has left far too many people in place who are still working hard to undermine the president and his agenda. Its been a persistent and serious problem for him. State, DOJ and the FBI in particular agencies needing to be ruthlessly cleaned up. Two years in he hasn’t really done that.

Don’t get me wrong; I support Trump and I donated to his campaign. I just wish he would focus a little more on draining the Swamp. That’s what the people who voted for him wanted him to do.

One more thing if I may...

If Trump had followed through with the immediate declassification of the FISA docs the evidence contained therein would have exposed the Deep State in ways that most people can understand. That kind of information would have provided ample justification to start cleaning house at the DOJ and FBI. But Rosenstein and ous so-called allies objected to the release and a golden opportunity was lost. At least for now, and possibly forever.

There may be another reason why he backed off on his stated intention to release the docs (perhaps something to do with the Mueller witch hunt) but my view is that the American people needed to see those docs for the sake of our democracy. It was and still is the worst political scandal in American history. It was also a gift horse which Trump hasn’t ridden.

So that’s a rational for keeping poor staffers is his own party is against him?

Though I was elated when Trump was elected, deep in my heart I knew he wasn’t the man for the hour.

He was, maybe, the man for the hour 10-15-20 years ago but we didn’t know that then, we thought we still had time. Or, at least, many of us did and many of us still do.

That’s the thing about these times. The interim period is typically very short between “ready” and “not ready”. The things that are needing to be done are going to take someone much harder than Trump and someone much more willing to lose all that’s precious to him—because he knows he’s apt to lose it all anyway.

Thay guy better make an appearance soon because the left can turn out those guys (and gals) ALL DAY LONG.

And the squishy, old right better get the stomach for it.
