According to this article from NBC News, a good guy with a gun just stopped a bad guy with a gun in Oregon.
And this happened at a school.
In a hallway full of students.
And the bad guy was carrying a backpack full of ammunition.
Who knows how many innocent people would have been killed if there had not been a good guy with a gun at the school.
The bad guy probably had a blog too.
So, what happened? Was the bad guy shot? Killed, or what?
“Good guy with gun” = Eugene OR PD
This is a silly post. The good guy was an on-duty cop.
Charles Landeros .... just a dad in a custody dispute. Oh wait .....
“An investigation following the shooting found that Landeros was carrying an extra magazine with ammunition on Landeros belt and another in the car, authorities said. Landeros was also wearing a backpack that contained additional ammunition, authorities said.”
“Last year, the FBI looked into the violent rhetoric Landeros had been spewing on social media, but determined there wasnt enough evidence to indicate a crime had been committed.”
“An hour before the shooting, Landeros was still at it, shrieking Death to all pigs on Facebook.”
Not hearing a lot about this guy from the lame stream Leftist activist media? Maybe because he’s got some links to Antifa?
Some sources - not mainstream (if he’d been wearing a MAGA hat ... different story):

Headline makes it sound like a civilian shot the bad guy. It was an on duty police officer. Indeed a good guy, just lucky he was there.
Also after watching the body cam footage.
There was no hall way full of students.
The school resource officer was the one that shot the perpetrator. Aside from having an armed officer in the school their security stinks. The guy walked right in the front entrance. Both cops had good instincts about the guy, but that’s a fine line between what happened and a much bigger tragedy.
Libs are going to be furious about this!
And to think there are school districts, counties etc that allow for a police officer in the school but he must be unarmed. Absolutely insane.
Interesting how so many videos give warnings of “WARNING! GRAPHIC CONTENT!” and some even blur out the “incident”.
For us oldsters who ran the gauntlet, 65 years ago, of blood soaked tabloid covers, bloody crime magazines in the grocery store checkout lines, front page photos of gangland killings, and the early days of TV news reports, such things don’t bother us. Too bad we have raised a generation of wimps who go..”EEK!” at the sight of such things.
What is so good and so evident is that the police person that responded to the school’s call for help was not a 100 pound female. The big, brawny, toxic male overpowered the idiot and the school resource officer was able to deliver quick and cheap justice to him.
(No hallway full of students either; that's an unfortunate exaggeration.)
This is what Churchill was talking about when he said
"In the future, the fascists will call themselves anti-fascists."
PS - we're always in a funds drive here...how about helping by encouraging folks to donate so the blog pimps don't use us as a "free" hit-source - that might make more of them more tolerable.
Seems unlikely he was going to shoot up the school.
It was a domestic dispute. Unfortunately, that is where many people go off the rails.
I have read the press release from the police.
He had a magazine in the pistol, one in a mag carrier on his belt, and one in his car.
The ammunition in the backpack was not the same caliber as the 9mm pistol he had.
I hadn't heard that.
Still, he was obviously out to commit murder and mayhem and to involve his own daughter and her classmates in it.
It is not obvious.
Unfortunately, it may have been his intent, or it may have become his intent while struggling with the police.
A significant number of murders are domestics, usually a man who has lost it.
Sad, but true.
Often, it can be someone who was, by all accounts, a good guy before he lost it.
This guy was already half off the track (Antifa, and the goofy gender pronoun choice).
This is where I went to school, Cascade Junior High School, as it was in 1969. From the video, the school hasn’t changed a bit since. I correspond (online) with someone whose children are passing through the district.
The school catchment area is solid middle class, there was no reason to deny a parent entry into the building.
