From my experience in recent years, hiring in the Park Service(or whatever they call it now) is some kind of weird affirmative action that excludes all considerations of competence, intelligence, and human decency.
During the interview they determine whether or not you’re a Hildebeest-voting, hate-filled leftwad POS. If you’re not, no job for you. (/HR Nazi)

I see a lot of videos with cops, also, putting their ego ahead of the constitution. They’re not hiring bright folks, their hiring dumb folks who blindly follow orders from superiors and like to push others around
