Tensions still high along border with numerous firefights. Images coming out showing damaged buildings. Some reports overnight of an air skirmish between forces. India has reportedly deployed fleet on war footing.
Some cooler heads are trying to prevail but people and media on both sides at a blood frenzy.
India/Pakistan
Pakistan returned the captured pilot as an olive branch to encourage dialogue to deescalate the situation. India govt has been silent so far and Indian media ramping up ant-Pakistan propaganda again. Units on both sides still deploying to the border.
Retweeted Raj Shekhar Jha Jama’at Islami’s terror unit Al-Badar has threatened to send terrorists from Pakistan over the border to Kashmir. Not good for current situation

Following the conflicts at border crossings over blockage of food / medical aid, the situation has hit a pause. Maudero enlisted prison innmates, uniformed and armed them to shoot civilians (something the military was very reluctant to do). Supporters of the opposition are meeting to plan their next efforts. Intervention by US forces currently unlikely unless some of the military cargo traffic designated aid actually carried supplies for forward deployment of US forces. US response probably be 82D or 101st. No carrier battle group or marine amphibious group are in the area that I’ve found reported.
N. Korea
Assessing N Korean potential responses. I read into Kim’s response that he didn’t understand Trump’s calculations to mean that he expected him to roll over like previous presidents. Trump was better prepared and like Regan in Iceland walked away from gorbachov, Trump did same. Analysts indicate that this puts pressure now on China and their negotiations with Trump over trade.
For clarity and judging the accuracy of my posts, I’m sifting through about a dozen credible military/intelligence twitter feeds on actions that may or may not show up on the regular news feeds. I’ll try to highlight those less credible than others, because there are propaganda posts on both sides as well as an increased fog of war.
Pakistan/India
Apparently the olive branch offered by Pakistan via the return of the pilot has been ignored by India. Reports indicate increased shelling of Pakistani civilian targets, with multiple deaths. Pakistan has responded with increased attacks on Indian civilian area. Pakistani sentiment is increasing anger at the rejection of the offer and less trust in the govt. Both sides have apparently granted the military leaders of both countries wide latitude in reacting to activity along the border.
In addition to increased artillery attacks, there are unconfirmed rumors that India is using short range “missiles”. Type of “missile” is unknown but could range from guided antitank to unguided katusha style.
Reports of a lot of Pakistani CAP over the eastern part of the country.
My assessment is that India is wanting a war. They have a larger military, nuclear triad and are feeling froggy. Pakistan govt recognizes that they are undergunned for a conventional war but may not be able to overcome popular support rising for one. Turkey has contacted Pakistan and offered their verbal support at this time. No word about other Islamic terror groups flocking to the border to face this challenge to islam.
If a war breaks out and Pakistan is being beaten badly, they may fall back on their nukes to break the momentum of the conflict in a tactical manner as well as strike strategic supporting facilities in India. No doubt this would result in an Indian counter strike. As one commentator put it - one false move could start a chain reaction towards this.

As noted earlier about ‘missiles’, it appears India has stepped up its attacks with a MLRS system. this would be a MAJOR escalation of the current artillery duels going on. ATGM use by India now becoming more confirmed. Reports suggest this round of artillery attacks the most significant to date

Heaviest artillery exchange yet. Heavy civilian casualties both sides.
RUMINT. Pakistan has deployed their TELs with rockets from their storage areas. These are part of the nuclear bomb units. A common sense move if true because as we found out it’s hard to track the buggers and removes a fixed target for India.
India has reportedly deployed its aircraft carrier to sea - location unknown.
Media blackouts on both sides.

With night approaching the day revealed the severity of the damage from last nights artillery duel. Pakistan expressed desire for the US to mediate a cease fire. India has remained silent and belligerent. Due to damage and media blackouts on both sides, first hand accounts are not as available. As night is beginning to fall, uncertain if exchanges will be as ferocious as last.

Things have quieted down. Some of which may be attributed to internet closures bu5 but quieter indeed.

IAF bombed targets in Gaza following more fire balloon attacks.

Tensions and alert status of forces still very high. Numerous small arms and artillery violations of current cease fire, but nothing even beginning to approach the level of a few days ago. Biggest discussion is the IAF downing of a Pak Drone.

Standard anti-terror strikes.
Venezuela
No reports of violence over the past few days. Unless forces outside the country push the supplies into the country the current stalemate will continue.

Still relatively quiet. Fake reports out that Pakistan intercepted an Indian sub. Video footage is from 2016. Take time to vet these reports, tons of propaganda by both sides.

The deployment of the latest version of the US THAAD system likely a test for integration with Israeli systems. The threat from Hezbollah and Iran has increased and Israel needs to make sure other defensive systems can be employed if needed.
Venezuela
Relative calm though the ‘recognized’ president has returned. How long he can stay out of jail/ avoid murder is questionable. However, given his vast popular support if ANYTHING negative happens to him from the current govt, expect all heck to break loose.
N. Korea
Reports that NK has started repairing a missile launch site it partially demolished.

More fire balloons from Gaza and retribution counter strikes by Israel.
N Korea
Report that the last harvest was the worst in 10 years- plunging the country into another famine.
The reported reconstruction of the missile launch facility must be kept in context - it didn’t start as a result of the failure to reach an agreement. Such construction is the result of planning months in advance. Suggests that Kim thought Trump would roll over. Now the administration is looking at tightening the screws again with sanctions.
Venezuela
Still politically turbulent. A Madero misstep could cause wide spread violence and potential civil war.
