I talked to a Chinese man who was imprisoned by the Communists during Mao’s famine.

He said they had a daily formation, where they had to stand in their shorts, with their heels and knees together. An inspector would check if their thighs were so emaciated, that his fist could fit between. When it could, they were judged to be near death, and would be moved to another area away from sight.

I worked with (and later dated) a Chinese woman who told me about witnessing Mao's followers who would go from house to house, searching for anything they could loot, and beating the residents if they didn't have anything to surrender. She was a young girl who watched as her mother and grandmother got hung upside down in their own kitchen, and had the soles of their feet beaten with a rod, until they "confessed" things that didn't happen, or gave up whatever valuables they didn't have left anyway. We visited that house when we went to GuangDong province together a decade ago.

But surely OUR Socialists will be nice to we Deplorables in the years after they take over. Right? THIS time, they'll get it right, for sure!!

You would think with all the horrific history of communism that people would viciously protest and attack anyone who even remotely supported it. But no, instead, incredibly, we have morons that elect BLATANT communists into office, over and over.
