And 30 becomes the new 10.
Trump turned the political world upside down with his outsider, straight talk and no-nonsense approach to the enemies of freedom. However, his weapon of choice wasn't vulgarity but ridicule. And it was effective, Deplorables AND lovers of freedom who were previously were on the bubble, were attracted to this honesty...and comedy.
As usual, the statists have misinterpreted Trump. They believe what their core AND people on the bubble want is in-your-face shrill vulgarity. It started with Antifa and ran through last summer with public accosting of Admin individuals in restaurants etc.
Now, to be sure, their rabid core of haters eat up this vective. But this caustic approach won't sway centrists for two reasons:
1. Trump's approach worked because he is an outsider. The Dems are insiders; even the noobs come off as career politicians. Dems criticizing Trump is like the popular kids making fun of the class clown while they unknowingly have a "Kick Me" sign taped to their backs.
2. Centrists enjoy someone poking fun at the popular kids, but I don't think they like foul language or vulgarity. Centrists like Caddyshack and Animal House and Fletch and Airplane...they don't like Kathy Griffin or Chelsea Handler.
So I say let them shoot their mouths off. I never saw a class clown lose to the popular kids.
