Bre Payton, a-year-old political writer and TV commentator, died suddenly on Friday, a day after being hospitalized with H1N1 swine flu, her friends and employer said.
A staff writer at The Federalist and frequent guest on Fox News, Payton was found unresponsive and barely breathing Thursday morning by a friend and was rushed to a San Diego hospital, according to a CaringBridge fundraising page set up for her.
If Payton died from meningitis, which can cause sudden death, she likely had a weakened immune system, which could have been caused by influenza. It is unclear whether Payton received the flu vaccine though the only post that we can find about the subject was sarcastically critical of the industry:
State urges more people to get vaccinated. ///// NOOO ! vaccines are from the devil.
...... the flu vaccine is not a panacea and may actually cause complications that lead to serious disease and even death if ignored. On the other hand, the flu vaccine does prevent the flu and its secondary infections 10-to-40 percent of the time.
If Payton did not get the vaccine, its possible that it could have saved her life. If she did get the vaccineon the other handits possible that it actually contributed to her death. That is the paradox of a life-saving medical treatment with serious side effects.
Payton was a California native and went to Western Christian High school. A 2015 profile published on Patrick Henry Colleges website described Payton as such: Shes striking; her Valley Girl accent adds an unexpected tension to a dry sense of humor and she carries herself with Californian nonchalance. While shes not always sure of herself, shes always succeeded due to hard work and an appreciation for opportunities that come her way.

..... a prodigy, I guess.
I do hope we find out how she REALLY died. Because the odds of dropping dead from Swine Flu is not exactly very high.
IF she died from swine flu....Who gave it to her?..
My wife and I stopped getting the flu vaccine about the same time. We contracted the flu every year we got the vaccine. Our primary care doc assured us that it would have been much worse without the vaccine. Call me a skeptic. Since abandoning the vaccine process, we have not contracted flu.
One thing that has been somewhat troubling about FR in the last several years is the emergence of a visceral hostility toward alternative media and citizen’s journalism among quite a few freepers, It seems that the current gold standards for reporting here are the Washington Post and New York Times.
We will only if it fits The Agenda.
YES! Did she die from taking something she was critical of? Idiots are everywhere.
Happy New Year

ps -- I wanted you to know that I only posted this article because I happened to come upon it while searching for articles written BY Bre. I happened upon the above article and centered on this part:
"....the only post (by Bre) that we can find about the subject (flu vaccinations) was sarcastically critical of the industry: State urges more people to get vaccinated. ///// NOOO ! vaccines are from the devil."
______
So, I felt that her speaking of her own disdain for flu shots would give readers a somewhat decent idea of whether she had had a shot or not.
Is that at all clear to you?

Agreed.
There have been over a half dozen unnecessary, sarcastic/outright ignorant comments on this thread. It's good to see one like yours, one with a real curiosity and not cheap scoffing and denigration.
Thanks ......
You (and the idiot author) have no idea whether she even received the flu vaccine in the past few days), chances are the answer is NO. Even if she did receive the vaccine in the past few days (most unlikely), there is no reason to attribute her symptoms and sudden death to a flu vaccine. Sheer IMBECILITY.
You posted an exceptionally stupid article by a strikingly ignorant author. Now you (pathetically) try to stand by it, with no evidence or analysis. Now everyone knows what to think about you.

No one here or in the article attributed her symptoms and sudden death to a flu vaccine.

“... Because the odds of dropping dead from Swine Flu is not exactly very high ”
But people do! In a nation of 327 million there will be some number of people who drop dead from the flu. Because of modern communication the reporting of one doing so will have more impact then it should. So maintain a healthy skepticism as to what this incident may mean if anything!
There have been some few people who died in auto crashes (or its aftermath, from burning or drowning) BECAUSE they were wearing seatbelts. But those numbers pale compared to the numbers of people who have been saved by them.
Same goes for flu vaccinations. 650,000 Americans died in the 1918 Spanish Flu epidemic. 70,000 died from the Asian flu in 1957. In the 2018 flu season, 4000 Americans die each month from influenza, the vast majority of whom were unvaccinated.
So get your gall-danged flu shot already, because you’re endangering the rest of us if you don’t.
"May your only son be goalie on nudist hockey team."
The headline is pure clickbait, posing a provocative question which is irrelevant to the case UNLESS there is evidence that the victim did receive the flu vaccine VERY RECENTLY and also irrelevant unless there is evidence that a flu vaccine can cause HER specific symptoms.
You are a perfect moron and have long been a blight on this forum.

LOL ..... I deeply thank you for some much needed perspective and wisdom.
The knee-jerking on this thread is bizarre and causes me to wonder about the general IQ's of some of the FReepers.
