I am on “one of those puppies” and — contrary to your implication — it most definitely calms me down. No more holiday outbursts in a long time. She probably should be taking a mood stabilizer or other suitable drug.
My son got a “Not my President” calendar for Christmas. Has a picture of various democrats for each month. Captioned “NOT my President!”
You know how they have the small print on special days? “First Day of Winter”, “Christmas”, etc. This one has all of those. And for every day is has “Donald Trump is president”.
I joked “Well yeah, but if he gets impeached and in jail this spring, it will be worthless.”
Brother-in-law: “You really think so!!??”
I laughed; “No. If anybody needs to be in jail it should be Hillary Clinton.”
“Well - Bill Clinton was a great president! I made so much money in the stock market back then!”
I had to tell my kids to shut up as they all started arguing with their uncle. “Okay - guys, no politics.”
(The BIL is not political at all and has no real knowledge of government. Is only knowledge of Bill Clinton is that the stock market was way up then.)

I have read all the comments. Many are very insightful. It is nice to be able to discuss other items but many of them have been politicized such as sports.
In my view she deprived everyone of either a piece of cake or a chance of a second piece of cake. because she couldn’t control her emotions. Absent a real apology (no sorry if anyone was offended, I wasn’t feeling well, or but...) from her to everyone who attended, I wouldn’t invite her back.
If I was a guest, absent such an apology, I wouldn’t come over next year if she was there because I am not sure you could guarantee my safety.
This is the hard left. They are not to be trifled with. You should pray for her and, in particular, whoever was with her.
