POTUS Motorcade pulling up to National Cathedral, where Christmas services are
scheduled at 10pm
Uneventful ride through sparse traffic.
No official word yet on family members present.

POTUS and Flotus escorted to a front pew of the church as services begin for the Noel.
The president still in his dark overcoat.

Pool pulled out of the balcony overlooking the Christmas service about 17 minutes in. We are now holding in the Bethlehem Chapel, part of a subterranean chamber below the cathedral

Pool has moved to vans outside the cathedral at 10:35 pm because there was no signal in the subterranean Bethlehem Chapel where we were holding before.
We have no eyes in POTUS or the First Lady, the only member of the family who joined him at the Christmas service.

Sorry not to have much color from the National Cathedral.
Pool was placed high up on a balcony for the opening hymnal of the procession.
Behind bank of cameras, print pooler could barely make out POTUS and First Lady in the distance below.
Pool removed soon after the Acclamation of the Nativity.
Pool was taken to an underground chapel with no cell signal/connectivity.
Poolsters given choice of staying there, or moving to vans outside.
Program is available online or by stream.
We chose outside so we could send words and pics sooner.
We are still holding at 11:19
