It’s a tragic story, to be sure. Yasmin Juarez, a Guatemalan mother who was running away from an abusive situation at home, sought refuge in the U.S. with her toddler Mariee. After the pair was intercepted attempting to cross the southern border illegally, they were placed in a family detention center at Dilley, Texas. There Mariee developed a respiratory infection. Seven weeks later she was dead, and the mother is now suing the federal government (aka American taxpayers) in the amount of $60 million.
In an interview with ABC News, Juarez said of her daughter’s medical treatment at the facility:
Frankly, to me, it was completely irresponsible. I think they should think about the children. The children are little angels, and this is not their fault.

I didn’t think she died AT the detention facility. From prior stories, my understanding as that it was several weeks after leaving the detention site.
But facts don’t seem to matter in cases like this, it seems.

But for her actions, her child would be around.
If she lived 7 weeks after leaving the center it’s because she didn’t receive care AFTER she left.
Give her nothing but a due south 1,800 yard trebuchet ride back into Mexico.
It is most certainly the “mother’s” fault that the kid died. Had she not brought her on a hazardous trip, she would be alive. If a rattler had bitten the kid on the trail, would she sue the rattler? She’s just looking for a big payday at our expense. Same as all the other illegal swine.

That would set a dangerous precedent I’m afraid.
SHE got her baby killed.
I wonder how much border wall could be built for $60 million?
Redirect the suit to the Democrat Party. Without their pandering, these people would not have illegally entered the country.
President Trump should use this as yet another reason to cut off all aid to Guatemala and all other Central American countries.
Make Guatemala pay us for the cost of all the processing and incarceration of their citizens before we’ll even consider future talks of any kind.

So, instead of running off to the next town...she runs to the USA...all the way across the country of Mexico? She coulda just stopped in Mexico City and gotten lost among the 20 million people there, easy.
Nonsense. Anybody who thinks children are "little angels" has never experienced real children ... or is lying for some nefarious purpose.
Screw that. Which part of illegal dont you understand? And I dont care if I get suspended for saying I dont give a rip. Tired of this clowns taking money from us to pay for someone who should NOT be here in the first place.
If it died in Guatemala, they’d just toss it in dumpster and make another one. Life is exceeedingly cheap down there.
