Why the Left viscerally hates the Electoral College and Equal Representation in the Senate

Posted on 12/08/2018 7:06:44 AM PST by cotton1706

Take a look at all the California vote harvesting stories of late.

But keep in mind, these vote harvesting schemes have affected (and can affect) only ONE body of the Federal government: the House of Representatives.

- No matter how much vote harvesting they do, it will not affect the Senate (there are already two democrats from California)

-No matter how much vote harvesting they do, it will not affect the Presidency (Califorinia's number of electors is fixed until the next census, and the number of VOTES does not affect electoral allocation)

-No matter how much vote harvesting they do, it will not affect the Courts (California has a say in the population of the courts only through its senators, which are already chosen, and both are already democrats).

The Left does not like limits too its power, but those limits exist nonetheless!

And there's NOTHING they can do about it!

And furthermore, California will likely LOSE representatives after the 2020 census, with illegal immigration being thwarted and a citizenship question likely being on the 2020 census (currently being litigated in court)

Our system anticipates the desire to consolidate power, an intentionally prevents it!

Yes.

Talk to leftists.

Ask them what limits there should be to government power.

They do not believe in limits to government power.

At most, they will say government will be limited by the will of the majority.

But most believe the majority is too stupid to rule themselves, and must be lied to to maintain power.

True now, but a few states are looking into a “National Popular Vote” compact, where a state would agree to automatically give its electoral votes to the national popular vote winner.

The idea has gained little traction so far. And the 11 states that have expressed interest lean Democrat anyway. But it’s still out there, and if the Democrats can get a few swing states on board...look out below.

If we play by their made up rules ..we will lose almost every time.
They let us win once in awhile ..at least until they can figure out how to confiscate our guns without setting off a real revolutionary revolt.

If author is trying to say vote harvesting is inconsequential, he's ignoring the actual seats that were likely stolen in Orange County. In this case, 4 more R's vs. 4 less D's would not affect the majority in the house, but margins are often critical.

In the future it very well may flip one of the most important facets of elections.; control of one house of congress....the very house where spending, legislation, taxation, investigative powers all eminate.

Vote harvesting---made possible with all the absentee/early voting--is legal in California, I understand, but the technique will spread like wildfire...and apparently has already to the recent North Carolina race.

Trouble ahead.

They are just impatient. They know that the demographics will make them the permanent majority party within a decade. The Dems have won the popular vote in six out of the last seven presidential elections. By 2019 half of the children 18 and under will be minorities. Each cohort that turns 18 will be more minority than the previous one.

By 2043 non-Hispanic whites will be 50% of the population, down from the current 63% and 89% in 1970. By 2060 non-Hispanic whites will be 43% of the population. The Dems want the popular vote to elect Presidents to take advantage of their numbers. They want to eliminate or change the composition of the Senate, which the see as a stumbling block to achieving their objectives. Federalism and the Constitution be damned.

The Left viscerally hates the Electoral College and Equal Representation in the Senate because those things help a free America, and a free America stands in the way of their consuming desire for Global Totalitarian Government.

If you understand that EVERYTHING the Left does is pointed towards achieving Global Totalitarian Government, NOTHING they do should be mysterious or come as a surprise.

We don’t really need to obsess over what the Left is doing because we already know what they are all about and can easily anticipate their moves because we know where they want to go.

What we SHOULD obsess over is the goal and consuming desire of Patriots. However, I think much of the Right, unfortunately, is mostly consumed with stopping the Left, but has no clear vision for where we Lovers-of-America should be going or what our ultimate goals are. That means once we beat the Left, then what? I think many don’t know.

I’ll help.

Patriots’ goal, consuming desire, and MAIN FOCUS politically should be nothing less than doing whatever it takes to recover permanently the same vision of our Founders:

RESTORE AND REESTABLISH OUR FREE CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC!

We have made vote harvesting illegal in Arizona.

The Democrats contested it, saying making vote harvesting illegal violated the voter protection act.

The Supreme Court recently rejected their argument.

That only means the power to implement or reject vote harvesting now falls to the states.

I believe those numbers are only if we do nothing to stop immigration.

In addition, there is the possibility of converting more Hispanics and blacks and others to Republicans, or at least, conservatives, as President Donald Trump is doing.

It is hardly inevitable, but it is worth worry and consideration.

Yes, those Census Numbers are based on our current legal immigration numbers of 1.1 million legal immigrants a year. The Dems don't want any reductions in those numbers as do a number of RINOs. Some even want an increase in the numbers. The outlook for curbing legal immigration numbers is bleak given the advantage the Dems realize, i.e., becoming the permanent majority party. They are joined by the Chamber of Commerce, the Catholic Church and other religious groups, labor unions, and ethnic interest groups. We have just had three of the four highest decades of legal immigration in our history.

In addition, there is the possibility of converting more Hispanics and blacks and others to Republicans, or at least, conservatives, as President Donald Trump is doing.

Trump is not your conventional Rep. Immigrants and minorities support the Dems more than two to one. Since 1990 we have brought in 35 million legal permanent immigrants (equivalent to the current population of Canada), 87% of whom are minorities as classified by the USG. This doesn't include the 300,000 anchor babies born annually to illegal aliens who gain citizenship at birth. Immigrants and their American born children drive 80% of our population growth. In 1970, one in 21 was foreign-born; today it is a little less than one in 8, the highest in 105 years; and by 2023 in will be one in 7, the highest in our history. And the numbers will grow from there.

It is hardly inevitable, but it is worth worry and consideration.

Disagree strongly. It is probably inevitable given the demographic tide that goes unabated. By 2050 the demographics of the US will resemble those of CA today. We will lose this Republic thru the ballot box. Like the frog being slowly boiled to death who does not realize what is happening until it is too late, the Reps have just understood what has been happening. Pat Buchanan warned about it 1993. I have been working on this issue for 10 years and had a booth at CPAC for four years. I found even conservatives sadly uninformed about the impact of mass immigration. They had no idea as to how many legal immigrants we bring in annually. The 1965 Immigration Act changed America forever. There is no going back.

Fraudulent voting has become a foundation block of democrat election campaigns from coast to coast.
In the midterms the Texas Democrat party got caught asking non-citizens to register vote and even went as far as sending them applications with the citizenship box pre-checked.
Now dead people are receiving voter registration forms – one to a Dallas woman who has been dead for 29 years. Another woman received voter registrations forms for three of her deceased family members and in one North Carolina district over 900 absentee ballots were requested by just five people.

Assisted by feckless and morally weak republican politicians, democrats have created devices such as all mail in ballots, same day registration, motor voter registration, provisional balloting, early voting, ‘harvesting’ of absentee ballots and ranked choice ballots. All this, they say, is designed to make elections fair and ensure that every vote is counted.

And when all of the above fails to produce the desired effect, the democrats play their perpetual hole card by demanding recounts and producing the inevitable lost ballot boxes.

California can't validate the legality of their voters, but their fraudulent system is allowed to steal the combined votes of; Idaho, Utah, Arizona, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska and Alaska.

Why the Left viscerally hates the electoral college-----

That's an easy one.......it's b/c Saint Hillary lost in the E/C......they are paranoid about changing that.

And they're wasting no time.

The latest is that Obama’s minions still control immigration agencies......
they are making sure all new immigrants are placed in electoral college states.

Thanks for posting cotton1706.

"- No matter how much vote harvesting they do, it will not affect the Senate (there are already two democrats from California)"

Respectfully, as a side note, when patriot ballots are “misplaced” and consequently not counted, that affects Senate, one less vote for a patriot Senate candidate imo. Correction welcome.
