Jeff Flake is finally taking a stand on the need to protect Robert Mueller and its infuriating his fellow Republicans.
The retiring Arizona senator is undermining the Senate GOPs efforts to approve as many lifetime-appointed federal judges as possible in the lame duck. His vow to oppose all judges until he gets a vote shielding the special counsel from presidential interference has already frozen 21 judicial picks in committee and on Thursday helped derail a nominee on the Senate floor.

One good thing about flake is he won’t be a pita self serving RINO lifer dog.
.
Are Flake and Brian Williams closely related?
The nose knows!
I hear ya but that’s a very tenuous “majority”. Mittens is going to be a major annoyance and the liberal media will shout his every anti-Trump utterance.
Well at least there’s a more conservative senator taking his place in January. /s. Kind of.
Most of the elected GOP represent the Cheap Labor Express, not the citizens.
“I support him completely, said Senate Minority Whip Dick Durbin (D-Ill).”
That’s all ya need to know.
Just wait ‘till Romney gets there...
What you described may be DJT’s greatest legacy...
An 8 year in your face demonstration to all but the most brain dead or apathetic that the system has been damaged beyond repair. Meaning, the current system cannot be used to fix the current system. Time hit the re-set button. Or perhaps a more apt description of what should be done with our government involves toilets and flushing rather than swamps and draining. I don’t want the swamp drained; I want those particular wetlands paved over and zoned for industrial use...
Collins and Murkowski aren't the ones backing Flake up here though, it's Tim Scott whose vote is allowing Flake to kill the nomination of Thomas Farr to the federal bench
Flake grew up on his familys cattle ranch in Snowflake, an Arizona town cofounded in 1878 by his great-great-grandfather.

The BLM is fundamentally transforming the USA into North Mexico, by violating the Guadalupe Hidalgo Treaty.
Treaty violations will create an excuse to revert the western states back.
Cant be said enoughThe STUPID PARTY!!

If only it was just the STUPID PARTY. Unfortunately for us its both STUPID and WEAK, resulting in a devastating combo of clueless ineptitude.
Fake and other RINOs are blocking confirmations. So it DOES matter.
Laz, you are insulting Richard's everywhere by associating this Schmuck with them. In fact, this man's surname is very apt, considering his track record.
Personally, I can't understand why McConnell is so hot to vote on these judges now. If nothing else, he has a stronger majority in the next Congress without scumbags like Flake gumming up the works. Even "Mittens", as much of an odd duck as he is, will probably be a reliable vote on such matters.
Good to know.
Most of the elected GOP represent the Cheap Labor Express, not the citizens.

Very true. They also like big government and the mountain of debt it creates.
we always seem to have an Arlen Spectre, The Dems rarely do and maybe only fr a brief moment, but republicans always have at least one permanent Arlen, and sometimes 2-3 more.
This time it’s Jeff Fake, R-Arizona.
The Senate will follow suit and investigate Trump just as they did for collusion. They will pick up on whatever the house does.
This phony can’t get elected dog catcher in Arizona, but he thinks he’s the reincarnation of RFK. I can see him running as a submissive Veep with soy-boy Beto, another RFK-wannabe, or with his shiny-headed Senate butt-man Coons in 2020. Will we see Beto-Flake or Coons-Flake? Either way, this chucklehead will always be a flake!
Fortunately, Mitt wit won't be on the judiciary committee and Republicans will have two extra votes in the Senate after the new year begins.
