It seems that professions that include some measure of guardianship over minors tend to attract particularly vile types of individuals of the predators seeking victims variety.

Oh no, just the percentages you appropriated as being bad cops making the other 10% look bad. Way off base, but like I said to a criminal I suppose those percentages look correct probably.

If you take that comment to reflect upon you, then that is your issue, and I can't help you there. Most cops I have ever known are decent people. They are human beings too who are not perfect and make mistakes.

As I also said, there are always terrible people in all professions. No profession is immune to lacking scumbags within their midst.
