So what you are saying is the SCOTUS has overstepped its authorities? Specific constitutional issues aside, the administration of elections belong to the states.
An M1-A3 Abrams tank will do
Wayne Allen Root advocates rule-by-decree dressed up as executive orders. No thanks. We had enough of that under the Bamster.
“Specific constitutional issues aside, the administration of elections belong to the states.”
I don’t know what your problem is. Under the Constitution, elections belong to the states.
But have you never heard of the voting rights act of 1964? It gave the Federal courts jurisdiction over state elections. It may not specifically say that in the law but the implementation of the law requires it. And did you know every time a state redraws its voting districts, they have to get permission from the Federal Courts.
And when the voting gets questionable, the Federal Courts step in, as in Florida in 2000.
The redistricting of Pennsylvania, that gave the democrats an inside track to win in the elections, was taken to the Supreme Court and was blessed by the Supreme Court.
My problem is I am a constitutionalist. The voting rights act is unconstitutional, the only cases that SCOTUS should be hearing a specific issues contrary to the written ink in the Constitution.
