The black congresswoman as alternative? Like Abrams in Ga. blacks are their most loyal supporters so they must give them a higher profile. Just look at Booker/Kamala. No need for us to help. Gillum got a lot of them to vote in Fla. Otherwise it would have been easier. I say 10 Republicans in congress should vote for her-non news. The more-of-the-same element. No need for anything 'refreshing'. Then there's the radical element. Would black leadership that's more radical take them over the cliff in 2020? You tell me.

You are correct. Speaker does not have to be a representative. Could be anybody.
Licenses, qualifications and relevant experience are required for nearly every job in this country. But not for congress. Any schmuck can be one.

They showed a side-by-side screen with Pelosi and Fudge. Fudge doesn’t look bat-sh!t crazy like Pelosi does. But I know nothing about her level of socialism, and I’d worry about racism becoming a huge divider as with Hussein.
Might ultimately help the GOP though. And she might be persuaded to provide some votes on the wall in exchange for GOP support. Black voters stand to gain the most from controlling the border.
They can vote and it doesn’t even have to be a member of congress to hold the position.
